  1. Kind of a mean thing for a nursing instructor to say to a student, eh? Go with how you feel. If you think you will be a good nurse then your heart is in it, and you will likely become one. We are all different.
  2. Thanks for the words of wisdom. I'm graduating in 5 days and I'm sure I will find this helpful!
  3. I am a new grad and unfortunately my class became this way. They were always complaining about the instructors, the nurses we worked with in clinicals, and the hospitals. They were even posting these negative comments on our class page on Facebook!!! I have found that getting caught up in that type of negativity will soon make YOU that way, so I have distanced myself from my class so that I can maintain a positive attitude about my career, which hasn't even started yet! This has helped me to continue to love nursing (as I always will) but I do feel isolated from the rest of my class.
  4. OK. Your husband is.....substandard. Might want to get rid of him first and do what you want with the rest of your life. The person we spend our lives with should be one who makes us feel GOOD about ourselves. just sayn'.
  5. AND never never never give up!
  6. I am a new grad and have been told by many that the entire first year is a huge learning experience. If you were actually confident at this point you would probably be dangerous. Just remember to always ask the question if you don't know or have someone else take a look if you're not sure. I did my preceptorship in CCU and the experienced RN's do it... They work together and make a great team!
  7. hmm...I guess leaving with dignity and a smile can never be a bad idea...
  8. I agree. Part of being an RN is communication. If you're having a problem now, say something.
  9. Is this school accredited?
