  1. I can only speak for the ICU not ER. Come to think of it, most interviews I went on asked behavior type questions, to see how you handle certain scenarios. You don't have to answer right away, take your time! It's almost like having a conversation with a group of people, at least that's how I look at it. Most of all, you need to relax! Those were the best interviews I had, when I was relaxed. Take a deep breath. The interviewers expect you to be somewhat nervous, just don't let it get the best of you.
  2. Honestly, they didn't ask to see mine, even though they told me to bring it to the interview. But it may depend on who interviews you
  3. You have to look first at the LA County Website for RN I openings and apply online. They will contact you for a civil interview and if you pass, your name will go on the RN I list. From there, you can contact the various LA County hospitals to see if there are positions open. Sometimes, as in my case, the hospital may contact you to set up an interview but don't rely on them. If you really want to work for a particular hospital, contact them once your name is on the RN I list... At this time, I don't think LA County has an RN I position open, but check back frequently. Hope this helps!
  4. Congrats! How long did it take to clear livescan?
  5. @jamesthegreat Were you hired for an ICU position too? What part of the process are you in? I go in next week for fingerprints and paperwork...
  6. Anyone recently hired for an ICU unit at LACUSC? I start the process next week for fingerprints, backgrounds, physicals, etc. Anyone recently hired know of the possible start date? Thanks!
  7. Can you post the link for the FB page you found the information? Thanks!
  8. I called and spoke with the nurse recruiter on Monday and he told me they were just starting to notify people of interviews. I also asked if we would be notified if we did not get selected and he said we would get an email. I haven't heard of anyone who has landed an interview nor have I heard I people being rejected recently (others who have gotten rejected got that notification earlier in the process). I'm so confused as to what's going on and I am tempted to follow-up after the 17th to see what's going on.
  9. No word still...getting anxious! Wonder what's going on?
  10. I'm guessing it means interviews? When I called they said they would notifying people for interviews until Aug 17 (starting July 23). The program doesn't start until Oct 8...I still haven't heard anything good or bad
  11. I called and I got the same information...that they were scheduling interviews until the 17th and they didn't have any more info other than that...*sigh*
  12. HI Nursedrone! I got a call but no voicemail or email, however I missed the call. I'm assuming it was the UD calling so I sent an email to her today asking if I missed anything. Good luck to you!
  13. It seems as though every department is different. Some departments are only using the first round of interviews to choose, others are asking for more interviews. And yes, you are right. I did read candidates who went for a second interview only to be turned down later. I wish the process was more streamlined but it seems like its based on each individual unit. Good luck to you and everyone else!!!
  14. Yes @nursedrone I think you are right. Well I must say its kind of nice knowing! Good luck to you as well!!! I hope we both get in!!!
  15. I interviewed for RRUCLA ICU
