I recently just graduated and passed my boards. I will hopefully be starting my L&D soon. As a new Rn and L&D nurse what advice cane you give me? I am just Really nervous I'm going to make a ton of mistakes and make a fool of myself.

Good luck! You got this! I think what you're doing is great. I understand completely because I have a baby myself and I am starting nursing school this coming semester. My baby is 10 months old though. I ll ne driving 3hours every day to go to school. But it will all be worth it. So hang in there it is only two years!

Thank you all the comments. They really help. My school does require for us to buy our own blood pressure cuff :/ I look at those shoes. Hopefully they wont be too expensive .

IS there a certain type of stethoscope or blood pressure cuff that you have to have? ( color, ect...) I dont want to buy one that I cant use. Also are ther any certain type of shoes that you recommend for nursing school?

I am trying to do a paper on mistakes and reality of shock new nurses. Can any of you nurses think of things that mistakes you see new nurses make or that you made? or things that were a a shock to you? CAn you think of any solutions for new nurses to avoid this?
