  1. Thanks liftfitnhealthyrn
  2. RN013, I am from the Seattle area, so I know about the different locations. However, I don't know specifically how the campuses differ. The first hill campus is downtown, Ballard is very close to downtown, Edmonds is north of Seattle a bit and is in the suburbs, Issaquah is east of Seattle off of I-90 and could be considered suburbs as well. When looking on google maps the locations all look generally close to each other, and they are, but factor in traffic and it can make a huge difference. What type of nursing do you want to do? What unit would you love to be on?
  3. Does anyone know of what units will be hiring residents, and if so what units have more openings?
  4. ccb1, are you currently in the Swedish residency program? If so would you mind if I asked you some questions that I have about the program?
  5. I just applied for the January cohort, when should I expect to hear anything? I have been checking the site daily and all it says is application received.
  6. Hi guys, I am curious if anyone has either gotten a confirmation email that their application arrived or if their application check had been cashed? I mailed my application certified mail so that I would know that it made it to JU, however the post office "lost" my application packet. It was tracked all the way from Montana to Jacksonville Florida but since then there has been no record of it. It was tracked at the Jacksonville post office on November 12th. According to the postal service it was never officially received/signed by the university and they have no way of telling me where it is. They told me it is "likely" that it made it the university and also "unlikely." So I will not know if my application arrived until I hear from the university, or they cash my check. I truly hope my packet made it!
  7. Hi everyone! I just submitted my application and sent off my transcripts. I will be taking the TEAS in the beginning of January. Following the CSUSM time line it looks as though I will be considered for the Fall 2012 start. If the fall a more competitive cohort to get accepted to because there are less spots? Any advise from past or current applicants would be very much appreciated.
  8. The deadline date for the May 2012 cohort is officially here. I wonder how long it will take for the school to make contact with us?
  9. BellaNoor, Congrats on your acceptance! Were you accepted to the spring or summer start?
  10. JSarno07, Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. It is wonderful to talk to people that have a greater insight into the application process. Do you feel pretty confident that you will be accepted this year since your pre-reqs are all finished? Some days I feel that I will get in, but other days I feel less confident. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
  11. How long did it take everyone to hear back about their general acceptance to Jacksonville University. Did they call to tell you or did you have to wait to get a letter in the mail?
  12. is the average GPA of 3.5 for total undergrad work or just pre-reqs? I wonder how many people on average apply to JU's ABSN?
  13. Has anyone heard what the average GPA of students accepted is?
  14. winston18, have you applied to other programs as well? or only university of Miami? I submitted my application last week
  15. JoeNurseRN, Thank you for the info! I just sent in my application and am waiting to hear back. I originally graduated with a Bachelors in 2006 with a low GPA In the fall of 2010 I started back to school to do my BSN pre-reqs. Since starting school again my grades have been very good all A's and only 1 B+. I am worried that my prior grades will impact my acceptance into nursing school. Congrats on finishing the program, and finding a great job!
  16. I am applying for the University of Miami ABSN 2012 may start. Anyone out there with advise about the program? Or advise about the application process? How many students are accepted? What sort of GPA range? Would love to hear more about the school.
  17. I applied to the University of Miami ABSN 2012. Does anyone out there know the average GPA accepted? Or how many students are typically accepted/rejected each year?
  18. SirCamron, Have you submitted your application yet? Are you applying anywhere else? I have found the process of applying to nursing schools a little frustrating at times but I am looking forward to getting into a program.....fingers crossed.
  19. Is anyone else out there applying for the 2012 accelerated BSN at Jacksonville University?
