I am currently finishing my last term of the LPN program. I personally like the school and have never had any issues with the school. There are some of my classmates that have had a bad experience but nothing that couldnt have been avoided. They are approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. They do not have NLNAC or CCNE accreditation. This is important for some people who want to work in hospitals that required education from an accredited institution. However, if you continue on to get your BSN online with a school that has CCNE accreditation after finishing Hondros then this accrediation situation will not be a problem. I will be returning to Hondros for my RN and then continuing with indiana weslyan or U of PHX for BSN because they have the CCNE accreditation. I would recommend this school because of the fast paced program. The tuition is a negative but other than that I have no complaints.

Whwt can i expect at orientation this month?

They have only LPN and RN there is no bridge per say. You have to already have completed LPN to be accepted into the RN program which is 6 quarters (18 months). Their prices are higher because they are a private school.

I am starting at hondros west chester in the spring for the Lpn program. I am very excited. I spent two weeks studying for the entrance exam and it turned out to be more of a common sense exam than anything. Probably 90% of what i studied wasnt on the exam. Good luck! Hmayse...i too am starting the enrollment process at Hondros for the Spring term. Which campus are you attending? I am scheduled to take my HESI on monday and im extremely nervous. I have been studying like crazy the past two weeks to get ready. Good luck to you! @Dwright1203...is the HESI multiple choice or fill in? I too was unable to get the book so i have been studying with sites like quizlet and study stack. The enrollment counsellor said those wee the best. thanks!

@teecee i am planning to attend Hondros in April as well. The tuition is a little high because it is a private school. The tuition is about $20,000. Its an accelerated program you will have your LPN in 4 quarters and your RN in 6 additional quarters. They also have a RN to BSN bridge that you can get in 4 quarters after your RN all online. You should attend an information session at your desired campus. I went to one and it was very informative.

What exactly is EC? Is this an online program for LPN to RN?

Hoping to begin the LPN program in April '12. I am very excited. Trying to get all of my ducks in a row with the checklist before classes begin. One question I did have was what kind of computer and printer are in the technology package? Also are there any classes that have no other options than 8am? I'm trying to coordinate getting my daughter on the bus and getting myself to school in the morning. Trying to avoid before school programs or day care if I can. Another question I have is can we purchase our own stethoscope? I have heard the ones they give you dont have very good sound. I wanted to purchase a littman so I can make sure I am hearing all the sounds I am supposed to and not miss anything. I planned to ask the faculty these questions but have yet to have anyone return my call. Any input anyone can give would be Great! Thanks!
