  1. Misskate thank you so much for your post. I too am struggling with the same thoughts and really got a lot out of reading everyone's responses.
  2. Hi All, **** I start nursing school in two weeks and wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on good school planners or calendars to put my assignments, readings, projects, tests, etc in. Are there any Iphone apps which are helpful or is a physical planner book better?? Any links or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I love what you said about caffeine...there is no way I will be able to get through school without caffeine....especially having clinicals at 6:45 am! haha
  4. great ideas! thanks :)
  5. I can totally relate to you, Tricia76. My biggest problem is motivation, and that's in everything in my life not just school (unfortunately). I know this probably isnt the best or healthiest idea, but I find that its easier for me to focus and become more motivated when I have some caffeine (tea, coffee, etc.). It gives my mind the initial "jump start" to get moving. Yes, I know caffeine is not the healthiest advice out there, but its just my personal savior to get me through school for now. Also, whenever I have to do any sort of writing or essay, I listen to either classical or instrumental music. Any kind of music that does not have vocals in it really helps me to focus on my schoolwork. I know that may sound counter productive, but for me I need music to help me write. Just some things that help me :)
  6. Im taking A&P 1 during summer 1 and A&P 2 for summer 2 session. I know its going to be rough, but i have no choice since my nursing program starts in the fall. Ive been trying to prepare myself for it over the past few weeks while I have free time. I know someone else on here mentioned Anatomy and Physiology for Dummies book, and I wanted to add that it is such a good book! I'm reading it now, and have learned so much already. I bought it from amazon.com fairly inexpensive. I would highly recommend it for anyone taking A&P or preparing to take it.
  7. Floridatrail2006 Floridatrail2006, THANK YOU so so so much for this helpful post. I am taking A&P I and II in the summer and have heard nothing but horror stories about them. Your post helped me a lot :) :) :)
  8. I got accepted into DCCC evening/weekend nursing program for the fall 2012 too, and I was also considering Jefferson and Drexel for my BSN. See you guys tomorrow night (3/7) for the information session. Can't wait to start!! :) :)
