Accepted job at NYP-Cornell!
Hi esc_newnurse! I applied to the NYP New Grad Waitlist and got an email stating that I was placed at the wait list. How long should I hear back from them for an interview? And also, I made a terrible mistake of not reviewing my application before submitting it. I accidentally clicked on the Dec2012/Jan2013 New grad, even though I graduated in 2010 but have only 6 months of experience. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Johns Hopkins new grad 2011
Hi Pokytrokyt! Does JHH accept only graduates in this country? I've applied to 3 Nurse Clinician positions but all I got was rejection messages in the status of my application. How do they really get to notice you? I mean, this is my 4th month mark of being unemployed. I feel like giving up already.

Johns Hopkins new grad 2011
hi Stepherburg1 I graduated in 2010 from the Philippines. My first job ever was at a long term care / rehabilitation facility here in NY from feb-july 2012. The recruiter said things about the units like Sub-Acute unit, Vent Unit...etc. I'm not familiar with the units in bayview medical. Is this a nursing home facility of the hospital or clinical rehab? Because she said it's not an acute care but a post acute care setting. thanks for the info.

Interview
hi everyone!... An assistant recruiter from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center called me this morning and wanted to set up an interview for the RN position I applied to. I recently graduated in 2010 with a BSN degree. I started working in nursing home/rehabilitation facility in the bronx in Sub - Acute Unit as an RN f0r 5 months. I resigned 2 months ago and currently looking for a job anywhere in the 5 boroughs of NY. So, I asked the recruiter if I could just do a phone interview for now because I live in NY. She agreed and scheduled my phone interview on a Monday. I was just wondering if this is a good sign. She told me that they prefer personal interviews but if the Recruiter on Monday gives me consideration I should be able to come to maryland for a personal interview. Another problem is, I haven't started the process for endorsing my license to Maryland because I am not sure if I will get the job offer because if I spend and I dont get the offer, money is wasted. Economy now sucks thats why I don't want to just risk on anything. PS I am currently studying for my ACLS... Is the interview a good sign? Thanks so much!
