  1. yeah I emailed Ken and asked if I could pick it up in person ( i could not wait for the mail) and he emailed back and said sure, so I went in this morning right around 9:30...i seriously couldn't wait. So now I'm official.
  2. okay I emailed Melissa I officially gave up my seat, I appreciated all the support on here and enjoyed communicating with people in similar situations. Hope everyone's plans work out! Good Luck!
  3. marta, you might just want to ask Ken directly
  4. i cant find the group
  5. marta, I bet that our letters are going to be latter because they lost parts of our application. Ill join the group!
  6. Congratulations gator girl!!!! Do we need first aid and cpr or just cpr for healthcare provider?
  7. thanks marta :)
  8. Mr. Foote is there a certain type of CPR training that we need to get? What about the immunizations? That way we can get started
  9. good news...got into florida. I didn't receive my packet yet, but I went in and talked to the admissions director...because he called and said they were missing my GRE scores...What??? they are asking my this now?!? anyway, turns out they were under my maiden name! So i asked him he said I am in conditionally upon passing my last three pre-reqs this semester (which of course I will do), so thats good news, I am going to wait a few days to official say no to Duke, because Florida seems to be seriously unorganized and I want to wait and get some official notice, but YAY STILL GOOD NEWS ! also on a side note... for the second rounders. I emailed Melissa telling her I was not sure yet ( earlier this week before I knew about UF) and she said yes. she knows it is hard, but that they need to be considerate to the second rounders as well....so if nothing else they are thinking about you :heartbeat
  10. I have heard of people being successful with the petition, good luck!
  11. THANKS... I LOVE YOU GUYS! while duke is awesome, its also seriously expensive (esp. since we're both in school) so we are 99% sure we are staying in florida... @ Gator.Love I'm not a UF student (but I will be in May), we're from CA ( I did my undergrad @ UC Berkeley), but we came here in August for tax law for the hubby.
  12. im not a nurse (yet) but there was this kid that I carpooled with when I was in elementary school, he was "in pain" he even used a wheelchair half the year, I guess the doctors couldn't figure it out, but then they did...he was just constipated because he wouldn't eat fruits and vegetables. Then more recently, someone I know went to the ER with serious back pain, all seriously telling me she couldn't move....turns out same thing just needed to poop. Same thing my parents had an exchange student who made my mom take her to the doctors, the dr ran all sorts of tests and said nothing was wrong with her, my mom said same thing just needed to poop so she fed her some heavy oatmeal/fruit pancakes and it solved the problem.
  13. thanks, A&P 2, nutrition, and dev psycholog
  14. they were missing the official copy of my gre scores, I have a letter from the gre people saying I sent them but they got put under my maiden name. So I went in and brought the gre scores that I have) opened of course. SO...this also meant i got a chance to talk to Ken and told him I have to decide about Duke really soon. He said that I will be receiving an admissions packet in the next few days, and that I am accepted, however it is still conditionally because I am still taking pre-reqs this semester, so if I have a C or above in all three classes(definitely), background check, immunizations etc... then yes I am in...! which is great news!!!! but i want to get the packet before i officially reject Duke, just to be sure :heartbeat:yelclap: as far as what that means for letters in the mail I have no idea
  15. yeah i live on campus, and i agree i wish i would have gone in on friday...but I did email in last week and make sure they had the correct address, and ms. beaty said it was in the database correct so we will see, hopefully i can walk down there and then walk back with triumph....unfortunately Ken is not answering the phone now...might be lunch break
  16. omy gosh ken just called me, and i was in class and tried to call him back and no answer! AHHHHH...i wonder what it is about!

  22. waaaa:bluecry1: no news, i watched the mail man do all the boxes for the entire complex ( i think he felt pretty awkward with me standing there, but nothing, hopefully that means monday ( it better mean monday) i dreamt about it last night and i woke up so excited that i sang the "mail" song from blues clues to my husband when the mail came....as i am sure everyone on here can tell IM GOING CRAZY!
  23. yeah, i made sure they have my on-campus address as the one that they sent it too and still no letter today. I stood outside and watched the mail man do the entire mail for everyone this is so stressful just waiting.....i see there are nine people on right now I guess I am not the only one feeling this way
