  1. Waiting on one more document before I send in my application. I will keep you all posted. Praying every night it all goes well!!!
  2. Did you initially get denied and then appealed?
  3. Just one, this is my only criminal offense on my record.
  4. Bump, I would also like to know a reply for moonutters15 post. Thanks !
  5. So I was charged with a DUI in October 2014 and convicted of a DUI (0.15) in March of 2015. I was able to finish my nursing school and graduate in January 2015. It's been over a year now and I have been thinking of submitting an application. I know California is the worst when it comes to criminal histories, but if I were to get denied what baggage does it carry? Also I may be okay with a probationary license, as of right now I just want to start working and not forget all my clinical skills and knowledge. HELP!
  6. I haven't applied yet but it's been over a year. I've been hearing stories of waiting until finishing probation ( planning to petition to end probation early at the 1.5 year mark). Although I feel the longer I wait the more skills and knowledge obtained from school will be forgotten. Although your success story inspires me to apply soon!
  7. I am in the same boat as I graduated in January 2015 and got convicted of a DUI in March 2015. I am also in California and blew a .15 . If you have time to talk please PM me sometime because I am currently so heartbroken and torn that I may not be able to obtain my RN license anytime soon!
  8. Please PM me. I'm devastated and need any help
  9. What county are you in and what did the attorney do to help you? I need your attorney lol !
  10. Nclex. I'm coming off my first year of probation as of this month.
  11. Did you finish your 3 years DUI probation prior to applying? I received a DUI in my last semester of nursing school (charged oct 2014, convicted March 2015). I told my instructors and department and they supported me and allowed me to finish my last clinical and graduated in December 2014. I've reached the 1 year mark of my DUI and plan on setting a motion to terminate my DUI early at the halfway mark in September. Please help me as I am also in California. I hear it's best to get off probation before applying.
  12. http://floridasnursing.gov/forms/convict-record-guidelines.pdf I'm confused in the section for applicants with criminal history it say: Completion of Probation/Parole/Sanctions – Probation and financial sanction records for offenses can be obtained at the clerk of the court in the arresting jurisdiction. Parole records for offenses can be obtained from the Department of Corrections or at the clerk of the court in the arresting jurisdiction. If the records are not available, you must have a letter on court letterhead sent from the clerk of the court attesting to their unavailability. but in the chart above it says DUI's with one time factor will clear regardless of time factor. Do I have to be off criminal court probation for DUI before being able to apply ? ( I just started criminal court probation in march 2015 for 3 years in California)
  13. Also anyone have any information about Nevada? I'm looking it up and the information seems so vague.
  14. In California > .15 is aggravating factors so I got the lowest DUI sentencing, >.15-.20 is the next tier up with > .20 being the highest. If I apply to say Florida and get my license how hard would it be to transfer the license back to california in a few years?
  15. So if I graduated from a community college in California, how would I go about applying for RN licensure in Florida?
