I have posted a couple of times here and received positive feedback and met amazing people here also. I graduated May 2011 and took my boards August failed with 180 questions. I took it again December failed 265 questions. By this time I was discouraged and started to think that maybe I was not fit to be a nurse. The third time I received help from diana2050 i believe is her name here and Male Murse who wrote an amazing article here about his journey with the boards. He was very helpful to help guide me and encourage me. June 27 I sat for my boards do or die took my time, took my time, and read each question and answer like 3 to 4 times. I PASSED. I was so excited to see the pop up, paid for the quick result, and got the result saying I passed in the mail. The moral of my story is DO NOT GIVE because I thought a couple of times, "Heck with this I'm going to be a Vegas show girl". My support system wouldn't let me. Do not worry about time because it would hurt you because it did that to me. I rushed every time to take my boards and I failed because I was not ready. I gave myself time in between because there was something I did not understand. Also, you can have all the study material in the world, but if you do not understand the question they are useless. One thing you must remember: UNDERSTAND YOUR TOPIC AND WHAT IS IT ASKING YOU FOR? This doesn't make sense, but as your doing questions you begin to get things wrong and you're wondering why. Ask yourself "Did I get what the question was asking me?" That is the main objective of this exam. Pace yourself esp. on the exam that was my worst enemy I was racing during the exam and the third time around I just look at the questions and I thought to myself that's all it was. One more thing when you sit in front of that exam that when you doing SATA your doing well because isn't true to all people. I got a couple SATA but that is a weak thing for me, so I received a lot of priority questions, diagrams, exhibits, ecg strips. Bottom line it will vary and don't worry if you just the test and answer them the best way you know how. I used Kaplan mainly and must say Kaplan is harder. Studying is individualized and so is the test.... REMEMBER you decided what you get on the test so do your best make it shut off. I know I used Kaplan, but doesn't mean is going to work for everyone so be mindful of that. I hoped this helped and if any questions send me a PM.

Hey thanks for this I did kaplan for the third time Im hoping for the best. Any advice for the nerves my exam is two days away should i do anything much. Trainer 6 70 and trainer 7 66. Im a ball of nerves.

Hi, I have been on allnurses.com a couple of times and I heard of alot of people amazing stories passing the boards and I want one of those stories to be mine one day. I had a study buddy, but I didn't keep to mine part. I am going for my third try and I really want to make this count so this can be all be behind me finally. I know many people are around the country, but technology has it advantages SKYPE!!!! I finally am tried of running away from taking this exam and ready to face it head on. Let me know if you think studying with someone might work for you also.

Hey Congrats!!! First and foremost. I have failed twice last time I took it for the second time in December. I have a really hard time studying but I am trying. I have almost all the study tools suggested by allnurses.com and I have started ncbsn but let it expired twice. What should I do to get on track. I work and trying to do questions everyday.HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hey I have pretty much all the same materials but how have you used them. Especially the NCLEX 4000 and PDA.

I know the feeling. I failed my second time around Dec 29th and I'm trying get back on the horse on study. If you wan to study together that may help the both of us. We can figure something out

HI, I have failed my nclex twice and going to try it again for the third time. I last took it December 29,2011 and I have yet been able to get back in the mood to study. I lack the motivation to start study, but I can't stay in the position that I am in now. Since my second attempt I have been in a funk and unable to get out it. My future depends on me passing this test and I am worried that since I have been out of school since May I will never pass. I need help and advice.

Hi congrats on passing and happy bday what a wonderful bday gift. Just wondering how did you use saunders did you read and answer questions or did you just do the questions. I have the lippincott nclex rn with all the types of questions. Please help cuz I need the same joy as you im on my 3rd attempt.

Well i have alot. I have saunders (4th edition), Kaplan, Nclex 4000, exam cram and q & a review for nclex rn by lipppincott and i want to do three weeks nscbn. i just don't know how to use them all and where to start with all that i have. Also, I work but they have me working one day a week per diem which works out great but I'm not using my time well. How are you using all you resources and get everything out of them. Can you give me an outline of your study plan

I was just wondering on your take i have failed the nclex twice so far and just wamt to give up but im gonna give it another chance. My question is are you just using the ncsbn course or just that course and using a supplement with it. Would love to hear your take.
