  1. would a travel agency ever let you switch specialties?
  2. I work in Broward, few minutes from miami and 6 to 1 medsurg is normal for me but i always wished there was a world where i acutally had time to spend with my patients. One recruiter sent my info out to 3 North Florida Hospitals but I am starting to consider the advice of the seasoned travelers and leave Florida. This is my first assignment so I was trying to take baby steps but I guess I need to broaden my choices and just go for the bigger bucks. I see what you mean about the apartments vs lodging... airbnb.com is too expensive for a 13 week assignment.
  3. I have so many recruiters calling my phone, which company would u say is the best?
  4. I have been speaking to about 4 different recruiters and they are offering me positions in Florida. I am taking my family with me, husband and infant son. How is finding housing? extended stay better than an apartment?
  5. I need help. I am about to start traveling in Florida first and i found this thread to be helpful but i have questions
  6. Hello everyone, I was wondering if how soon after the semester ends are you allowed to take the NCLEX? I graduate May 6 2014. I would love for this process to only be about 3 weeks at the most, but I keep hearing different things. Students who graduate in December have to wait for the holidays to pass so I did not want to base my research off of what happened last semester. Any one here have any insight? My current job is driving me up the wall and I would like to resign while studying for the NCLEX so I can eliminate that stress while I concentrate on the state boards, but the timing must be perfect, which is why I would like to know how soon can I test?
  7. $$$$$ Hello classmates, I wanted to respond to the girl who doesnt have the funds to pay for school. of all else fails, go to SalliMae and get a loan. After all, you'll be a registered nurse when youre done. I had to do it and it took about a week. I got $6,000, which will cover the whole program. You can request more for residential expenses as well. Try fafsa loans first if the grant from workforce 1 doesn't work for you. God bless us! We will be fine! d r o p Ill be at central campus and yes, they did have everyone register for 1 class and then they split us up. Britt123, we will be in nur proc together. the ratings are terrible and i swear by ratemyprofessor.com, but we don't have a choice. We will just have to teach ourselves. someone mentioned books, the nursing department sec gave me a print out of all the materials needed and the prices.. books, uniform, the whole 9. If you're paying out of pocket, find the books online. I've already started reading the fundamentals of nursing which is the main book for processing.
  8. I GOT N!!! Pre-admission!!!! One step closer!!! CONGRATS TO ALL!!!! see you all oct 20th! What campus is everyone trying to attend??? Where are my north campus classmates!?!?:yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:
  9. Congrats Shan Shan!!! How many points did you have? any what were your HESI scores??? What campus did you apply for? There are only 10 days till we all should know but some people are finding out now?!?! I'm so anxious! God bless us all... :)
  10. i have a 3.2 and i got 8 points, replying to the girl who said she only got 6 points
  11. hello classmates, i got a 90% overall on the hesi, only because i bomb vocab with a 78%, everything else was 97 reading, grammar 90, math 94, a&p 92... for anyone worried about the hesi, dont be! that test was easy! just get the book and study. vocab is the hardest to study for. i memorized every word in the book and those werent the words on the test. i believe quizlet.com is a better way to study the hesi vocab. i have a 3.2 gpa, all as in prereqs except a b in chem and a&p 1 lab and c in enc1101 which is making my stomach hurt. i wasnt majoring in nursing when i took enc1101 and now that class is haunting me. i also took microbiology. for those who plan on taking micro, go with kulungara, north campus. he is thorough! i love him! anybody need anatomy? take leo stouder, the best professor at bc, hands down! i didnt take hosa which costed me 5 points . i am a broward residence so i got that point :yeah:which made my total points "9" but what does that have to do with anything? we are suppose to know who was accepted by oct 15th, im just losing my mind over here, but i know im not alone... god bless you all! talk to me classmates!:nurse::nurse:
