Nipissing University Scholar Practitioner Program
I been doing some digging in last years post and found that Conditional Admission basically means that students must provide their final marks and transcript(s). I guess this offer is for students who are graduating in June 2015 (since its my case too). Im almost positive we are admitted, but they put conditional since they dont know if we actually graduated or not. By any chance, are you also graduating this month (from your current school)?

Mine just updated to Offered Conditional Admission, is that wait-list or admission?

Nipissing University Scholar Practitioner Program
Like I have mentioned in the other post, I find it odd that no one has mentioned being accepted if offers already rolled out last week. I highly doubt none of us got accepted in this thread. People please check your status and see if you have been accepted, id also like to know if offers were already sent out.

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2015)
hmmm im curious to know if no one got accepted in this forum (i hope not) or if they simply havent pushed out acceptance status on web advisor. Do you know if they specifically mentioned having sent acceptance changes on web advisor to those who have been accepted? I have seen people comment on having been rejected, maybe they are sorting through waitlist and rejections first?

Nipissing University Scholar Practitioner Program
Hey guys, first time posting in the thread. So how is everyone preparing for the interview? I did some research on this forum and realized that they will ask you questions regarding your experience as well as personal statements. Anyone know how many in total the school is going to be interviewing?

Nurses in terms of hours
Hello, im quite new here and i have been reading a lot of posts regarding Canadian nurses. Im currently studying BScN at York University (Toronto area) and i have few questions. Are nurses really destined to accept the terrible hours of working nights and weekends? I mean, im not expecting 9-5 working hours but i dont expect to work at inconsistent hours every week for the rest of my carrier (hopefully i will start working when im 23-24). In your experience, is it hard to land a steady job with some consistency in your working hours? How many years or months did it take for you to find a steady job? Also, this question is regarding legal issues. I have heard numerous accounts where nurses are getting sued or being laid off for their mistakes. Is this true and frequent in your environment? Should this be a significant concern? Im sorry if im asking useless questions but i always found both to be a major issue when i started nursing, and i wanted to know from first hand... Thank you in advance. :)

Accelerated BSN programs startin in January in Canada? Low gpa?
Im currently studying at York University in biochemistry, but i will be transferring to York's 2nd entry in nursing in 2012. This program only starts during fall (September) and not during winter (January) since each course is specifically timed and scheduled for accelerated study. You need at least C+ in all of your courses, and a B for the last 30 credits. (from what i know 2.95 is about b- and 3.5 is about a- so you will be okay) To apply, you need to submit all your transcript and supporting documents before February 1st via OUAC. Hmm, i dont believe you need any health care experience or volunteer in order to apply and get accepted. However, volunteering is a huge boost if you want personal experience and a good feel of what nursing is all about. But 27400, are you sure that you need experience/volunteer in order to be accepted?? Thanks

2nd entry nursing, please help.
Iam going to apply for 2nd entry nursing for York University in 2012 (currently where im studying), or any other Universities in Canada (second choice would be Ryerson then UofT). I want to ask a general question about nursing First, i have failed a math class at York University (NOT a requirement for 2nd entry) as i took it as an elective. Will that matter significantly or at least matter when i apply for 2nd entry? Second, how are the programs differ from school to school. Which one do you recommend? Third, is the pace too fast? assuming 2nd entry nursing is an accelerated 2 yr course, would it be difficult to stay par with the concentrated workload? And lastly, is getting a job decent? I heard (from a friend) that getting a job in Toronto is almost impossible, or at least difficult to do... Should i consider moving? Thank you for your time.
