If you have plans to work in another state(differ than the state of which you are sitting for NCLEX), then you better start gathering any info/documents about your DUI situation. Ex: I had to answer "yes" to the misdemeanor question (a DUI in 2004). Since I answered "yes", the app requests a state criminal background check of where I have lived in the past 5 years (even though the DUI occurred on the opposite coast). Also, they are requesting any documents avail and a handwritten summary of what happened/resolved. So... I have to drive to a differ state that I lived in 5 years ago and get fingerprinted/do a state criminal check. And now, I have been waiting a 1.5 weeks to get the results in the mail... Alot of delay in the whole process of looking for job out-of-state... Alot of headache and hassle. If you answer "no" to the job application or on a state license application to work in a differ state, and they find out about your DUI, then you lied on the application..... ANd they now have the legitmate right to deny your app.

Forgot to mention: I also bought the 3wk plan: nscbn site, 2wks before my testdate. The questions seemed different and a little harder than Exam Cram & LaCharity. I was a "good wake-up call," I became a little relax before ordering the nscbn. I would suggest getting your $$ worth. And using it for the full time available, which plan you may choose.

I recently passed after on the 3rd time. Of which, I actually used almost ALL of the same study materials. But I also focused on the knowledge/content, compared to my nclex 1st two attempts. The 1st two NClex attempts was just doing ALL Q&As and Q&As. I did not have a good grasp of the "content." Also I read the Exam Cram book and took notes and did the questions portion X3s, and the LaCharity book(only chaps 1-16) X3s too. And did the kaplan strategies book once, but read the 1st 100 pages twice. Also when I sat down to take the nclex for the 3rd time, I purposely took my time and let the time run out. For every question, I just took my time/better than rushing through it. And took 2 breaks. Last, be confident (yes, it sounds corny & you've heard it before) But if you TRULY have been studying w/o the distractions(TV/texting on the phone every 3mins), you will retain more info and notice the study patterns, and you should be fine.

ok, i will look into the kaplan 2010 strategy book. i had taken the kaplan course prior to the 1st time. and also, the nclex-101: how to pass by rayfield (close to 40% of this workbook's q&as are identical to kaplan's qbank q&as). and took some handwritten notes form the qbank, since i knew it atcually expires on 9/1. i did not use any other resources. just a fyi:btwn my first (june 9th) & second exam (aug22nd), i noticed stark differences. after completing the entire qbank btwn the 1st & 2nd exam, i recalled alot of quests similar to the kaplan qbank quests. however, this will not the case, when i took the 2nd time. did not notice any familiar quests from the kap qbank. looking into other resources. thanks everyone.

I just took Nclex-RN, today Aug22 & 2nd time, and the quests were different than the Kaplan. I was under the same impression by talking to fellow classmates who took in June & mid July, that the quests would very similar, but not true......think I failed.. Any further quests: [email protected]
