Considering Dora as a workshop. Did you use her, I heard she is a ex-CPNE instructor. Did you take any other workshops?
  2. I have been trying to get an answer to this on this and other blogs w/out success. I called Excelsior and they did confirm that their workshop is more of a refresher of what you already should know, like a review session not a teaching workshop. Let me know if you get any answers
  3. Has anybody compared Sherris videos to Rob's CPNE videos. I just bought rob's videos I havent watched them yet, but I am overwhelmed w/ info. Everybody has a darn video I just wanted to know if people knew the diffrence b/n them. Also I hear Sherri was never an excelsior student which obviously means she never went through w/ the CPNE???? Makes me nervous, to attend her shop. I would also like anybody to compare Excelsiors workshop w/ other independent workshops. I called Excelsior and they said that they do not teach at their workshop it is a review. Any suggestions are helpful, just so many learning materials to shuffle through!
  4. getting ready to study for the CPNE and I am going to take a workshop. I am debating on taking Excelsior's workshop or ex-students workshops. Excelsior told me that their workshops are not teaching workshops but practicing workshops. Has anybody done either, any advice, any good workshops??

  7. The FCCA is now a 8 week program. The FCCA is composed of 2 courses head to toe and management. Excelsior recommends you to take each separate, making it an 16 week program!! ya, right I will take both in the 8 week program!! Its is all done at home on the computer and you cant do it in less then 8 weeks they give you assisgments every 2 weeks! The cost is less now at $147.50 each so $300 total. My big questino is has anybody completed both in the 8 week time, I am sure its doable. AND what books did you use, if any?
  8. Hi, I am about done w/ Excelsior I just have 2 tests left and then the dreaded CPNE! Can you tell me where you completed the 200 hour clinicals that WA requires and can you also tell me about your CPNE experience. My email is [email protected] Thanks so much
  9. Did you find a clinical site? Please email me at [email protected] I am in the same situation. I would also like to hear about your CPNE experience. Thanks, Josie
  10. Doesn't the endorsement application into WA require you to actually work as an RN in another state before WA will allow you to work. I have heard of this loophole, but I also heard that it doesnt work because on the WA application you need to put where, when, and how many hours you worked in another state as an RN. My personal email is [email protected]. I would also like to hear about your CPNE experience THanks, Josie
  11. Hi there thanks for your post. I also live in WA and I am about done w/ Excelsior, I just need to complete 2 tests and then the dreaded CPNE. I do know about the 200 clinical hours and I also know that Excelsior does not have any contracts w/ hospitals or SNF's in WA and therefore basically students are left to find there own clinicals. Excelsior has no record of where there WA graduates did their clinicals, yes it is very frustrating. My focus is right now on the 2 tests I have left and then I was going to go door to door asking if I can compete my clinicasl at a hospital. I have heard of taking the NCLEX in another state, and OR makes the most sense to do as it requires no extra clinical hours. BUT, I have heard that WA will not allow you to work UNLESS you have actually worked as an RN for so many hours (I forgot how many hours it is). I have heard that if you graduate from Exclesior and take your NCLEX in another state, lets say OR, then WA requires paperwork stating where, when, and how many hours you actually worked as a RN in another state. Can you please tell me if you did this and all the details please....my personal email is [email protected]. I would also like to talk to you about how your CPNE went. Thanks, Josie
  12. Thank you so much for your post. I heard about this, for example OR does not require any extra internship hours and I was thinking of taking my NCLEX there and then just working in Wash but somebody told me they did that and on the endorsement application Wash requires you to write in how many hours you worked as an RN and then Wash actually contacted her and wanted proof of her RN hours from another state before they would endorse her. Do you live in Wash? Any other info will help Thanks Josie
  13. LeeAnna, Would you mind emailing my personal email @ [email protected] it sounds like we are in the same predicament and I would like to talk w/ you about possibilities. Thanks, Josie
  14. Did you find an internship place in Wash if yes can you give me the NAME of the place :) Thanks, Josie
  15. Yes skilled nursing or a hospital I dont care I just need some NAMES of places, can you please give me the name of the facility you work at or know of any that would be willing to accept me doing an internship there Thanks, Josie
