It's also in a nursing home with blister pack lbs and I was through an agency. They always have med errors there. Their training lacks. I work in hospital settings only now. And I am Always thanked by family and co-workers. It really warms my heart. I guess this could happen to Anyone

What do you think will happen to my license? I am a good nurse and I am passionate about it. I really am.

Med errors being investigated
What's the usual punishment? No pt. Harm was done. Computer systems were down. It's an ADL system, in a nursing home. I was trying to hurry to get the med cart to the next nurse, so I just tried to click off on the late messages popping up. And it said either omitted or gave extra doses, etc.

Med errors being investigated
Hi everyone I have a question about med errors that I made that were sent to BON. No patient harm was found, I supposedly had 10 med errors in 4 hours while I picked up a shift at a nursing home. The DON reported me to the BON. None of these were narcotics. I did have issues with the computer that shift. Anyway, I met with dept of education investigator. I sent him an email to follow up. The response I got was: goes to my supervisor, then to her supervisor (in Albany) then to the Dep. Dir. of Prosecutions then comes back here to Syracuse to the assigned Prosecutor. I would guess, about 4 to 8 weeks until you hear from the local Prosecutor. My question is: is this a standard procedure. What usually happens? If no patient harm was found and this being a a first offense will I lose my license at one time the investigator did mention stayed suspension. I'm not really sure or maybe an administrative fine and a warning? Can someone shed some light on this. I'm a good nurse, I have worked in various settings and have never had med errors prior to that and after that. I'm really worried, when I hear prosecution, it's scary. I worked so hard for my nursing license.

AM I AN RN YET?
I took my boards yesterday and received this pop up saying that our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time. Is this the good pop up? Can't access quick results until tomorrow.

Nursing entrance exam help.
Well for me, it's nice that I've taken everything else before nursing. Like child dev and psych and nutrition and electives, English, math, etc. I've taken that so when I'm in my core partnof my two year degree it won't be like a full time schedule. Normally nursing students have to take everything in the span of their two years, I however have completed all of that. So I'm pretty excited about that. I just hope I can get ap in before my core classes start.

Nursing entrance exam help.
Hi everyone, i am glad to be a part of this site! I have some questions. This is my situation: I took my pre reqs online with University of phoenix and my chemistry with another university. The college that I am going to is accepting all of my credits. I need to take the following: Nursing 1a, b nursing II, III, IV, TIP microbiology and ap1 and 2. First, I want to know if that's a good schedule? I am going to take A&P I in the Spring and then A&P 2 in the summer, in the fall when I start my classes, I will only have the core nursing classes left to take. I have to take an entrance exam to get in to the nursing program, can anyone tell me what book I could get for a study guide, when to start studying and when to take the test? I am very excited I just wish I had someone to talk to about this. Thank you!!
