  1. I'm a SRNA at GRU and I will tell you that grades do matter and 1 year of ICU is just fine. The more experience the better. I know you are doing your best with the classes. Getting an interview is the hardest part.
  2. I am currently in the GRU CRNA program and there are clinical sites in Atlanta. I would say 5 or 6.
  3. What module are you on? PM me and I may be able to help.
  4. I found a great tutor that tutor me through skype. Her name is Janci Despain and her company is called Bright Idea tutoring. Let me tell you guys, there was no way I would have done well without her. She has a heart of a teacher. Not only did you understand why the answer was right, you understood why it couldn't be the other answers. If you want her number just google Bright Idea tutoring. She is really great and she has dealt with the UNE org chem class before (even before me). I highly recommend her.
  5. VCU's interview is one-on-one but it will done 3 times since 3 people overall will interview you.
  6. You should aim for 3.5 or higher. I am beginning CRNA school in August. You are right, since I only had a little over a year of ICU experience. Definitely getting your CCRN is a plus. GRE is important, so I used 3 review books including one on the top 100 words on the GRE. Also, I think a good thing to do is choosing 4-5 schools to apply to. Have you been on all-crna-schools.com? It has great info. You can do it, just stay motivated and determined.
  7. MedicalMinded, don't pay them any attention. Negative people are always hungry, but I let them starve by not giving them any attention. In the words of my mother " I may not have said it correctly, but you know what I meant"!
  8. I think I will apply for a PRN position. I like your thinking, kuhRN
  9. I have already been accepted to CRNA school and will begin this fall. Other factors in my life have required me to move and as of right now, I am not working. When I have talked to current SRNAs, they all have told me to enjoy my time before school, since it will be diminished once school begins. Is it a good idea for me to just relax and not work? Or should I at least get a part-time job? I think the latter is better, but I would like a current SRNA's point of view.
  10. I have just been accepted to a CRNA program. I looked for a short program (28 months or less), if they required the GRE. 1 year critical experience, clinicals all within one state ( many programs have clinicals in multiple states and require you get a RN license in each one), and a class of 15-30.
  11. If you need help send me a pm. i may be able to help.
  12. I don't know if it is feasible, but if so you can finish the lab within a few weeks. It is a virtual lab and you take a quiz instead of doing a lab report. The quizzes correlate only to the lab work. It was really fun and easy.
  13. In the fall of 2013 GHSU (formerly known as MCG) will be adding a Macon campus to cover the deficit the closing of the Mercer program will leave. It is partnering up with MCCG and will be having a class of 10 students. The 1st 3 semesters will be didactic at the Augusta campus, then the last 4 semesters will be at MCCG.
