Congrats! How exciting! !!!!

I passed! I am now an RN! I am over the moon. The pearson vue "trick" works. You have to do it correct and WAIT the 24 hours and don't keep checking it. And it's not really losing money seeing as if you do it correct you only give them money you would have to for retesting for not passing!!!!!

I have until after 2pm today. I checked after the 24 hours and I got the good pop up still! I will update you once I can pay for quick results. I would honestly pay 30 dollars to have them at 24 hours lol. They could make lots of money from us for that. Good luck to every one waiting and for those getting ready to take the boards! 😃

So I took my NCLEX RN today, had the 75 question shut off..... and obviously I was thinking, "NO I have to answer more to show you I really know things!" I still don't feel like it really happened. And of course my husband asked if I did the PVT yet, I had to explain to him it won't be official till 24 hours. Just to please him I tried it with a gift card, and got the "good pop up" I cannot register at this time, yadda yadda. I won't believe it until tomorrow. And tomorrow I won't believe it till I see the quick results lol.....

Flyersfan88. I am making the trip to the bon tomorrow. What would you suggest I say to them to get my board approval moving? That is all I am waiting for to receive my att! Any time you call they say, "you just have to wait, it can take up to 30 BUSINESS days." They apparently think I don't understand the concept of business days lol. Thank you!

Well, I made the drive today. I found the building and dropped off the paper work with no problems. Thanks again for the reply! Here's to hoping it doesn't take forever to get my ATT code!!!!

Absolutely! I am so worried they will take forever that I want to just hand deliver it. I also see the address is the same as you said. Plus I actually applied online, it is strange, I am not sure exactly what I am supposed to turn in since the online app you answer all the questions like the paper one. They still want the passport photo copy of birth cert, and marriage license for me. I am so glad it's not just me that thought that lol. My friend in school thinks I am nuts! And NJ is def known for the state issues :)

Hey all! Well good news, I passed my schools exit exam! Now to submit my paperwork to the BON in NJ...... So has anyone heard of, or taken the application to Newark directly instead of mailing it???? PLEASE HELP Thanks, Carrie :)

I love that I get to help make my patients and family comfortable in my patients final moments of life to make a pain free and relaxed transition to the next phase. I also love getting to know the family and hear all the wonderful stories they tell about their loved one. I am so blessed and lucky to be welcomed into one of the most intimate times in a families life. I wouldn't change a thing about what I do. :redbeathe

I have no desire to work down on my license, or go back to being a CNA... I have worked to hard and fought to get where I am... I am just going to let it expire. Thanks for all the input, I really do appreciate it!!!!

You can find the job if you look. I came right out of nursing school got my license and the first place to hire me was a hospice. I absolutely love it and could never see myself doing anything else. I leave work feeling good about the difference I have made to my pt and the family. The comfort and love that I have given to them means the world to me.

Ok, I am currently an LPN (working as a hospice nurse) and I just recieved a letter of renewal for my CNA certification. My question, is it needed at this point in my career? Will it mean a hill of beans at any point???? I would appreciate any input on this!

I started right in hospice. I knew I wanted to try it and I got an oppurtunity right after I got licensed. I love it and won't go anywhere else. This is my place. I have never felt so good about what I do as I do now as a hospice nurse.

Try registering on a job search site like simply hired or monster.

I also recommend listening to a song that makes you happy... Mine personally is Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. Just remember to breathe. That's a very important thing!!!! You will do great!!! And @ futurehealthcarewrker.... The good pop up seems to be accurate, let us know how you did!!!

Four weeks is a long time. Can you check your board of nursing site to see if you are posted there before that????

I did study the night before, but I wouldn't really call it studying. I did practice questions on commercials watching my favorite tv show and looked at my lab values. I took my boards on 8-20-11 did the pvt and got the good pop up. But I didn't believe it till I saw my quick results and it said PASS!!!!! :dancgrp:Happy Dance Group

I took my NCLEX-PN on August 20th this past Saturday, I got 85 questions and it shut off. I was done in an hour and felt like I didn't answer anything right.... I tried the "trick" and got the good pop up message about contacting the member board... Than for about the rest of the 48 hour wait for the quick result I read thru hundreds of pages from this thread. So I got my quick result.... I PASSED!!! I am an LPN!! :redpinkhe:nurse::w00t: it works!!!! Nothing beats seeing that word PASS tho!!!

Yes the waiting is killing me too! I have a few long term care places I would like to get into. The range for LPN salary here in Jersey is typically between 23-28$ an hour. I will be happy to make more than 20 dollars an hour!!! I keep checking the b.o.n. Website to see if it shows me as licensed yet! Lol. 48 hours seems like forever to wait for these quick results..... Not very quick when your the one waiting is it!?!?!?

Yes I had the delivery successful on the activity section,

I mostly did practice questions. As many as I could.... and I used the Kaplan test strategy book... that teaches you how to re look at the question to get the info you want from the question... isbn number is 978-1-60714-620-9, also we had to use the ATI for school. That was a great help too.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.... I want to be able to read a book just for fun and not to study!!!

Okay so I took my NCLEX PN this morning and I only got 85 questions and it shut off!!! I reallly wan't sure what to feel either way, I mean that could be really good or reallyl awful... I had a lot of SATA, Pharm, and priority. So I waited three hours and tried the pearson vue trick... and it told me I could not schedule another exam and to contact my member board... SO from what I have read this could really indicate a passing result!?!?!?! I don't want to celebrate too soon... but I am hoping this is true....
