  1. Any grad position ideas? I know at Lee Memorial in Ft. Myers they post only 1st-5th of each month but I haven't found any in Tampa area. Am I searching under wrong wording? Is it "new graduate", "internship", "graduate", etc? Any advice is appreciated!! So frustrated!
  2. I'd love any suggestions for who to ask for to try to get interviewed? I can't ever seem to get a human being to talk to, just a website? Thanks!!
  3. Any suggestions for where to find listings of upcoming job fairs? I've been searching for a new grad position for months and seem to hear about them a day or so too late?? Thanks!!
  4. Can you tell me what's the website to apply? I can't use the private email stuff here yet. Thanks!!
  5. I meant he is working and would have to find a new job and we have five kids, youngest is 13. lol Nothing is easy over here! :)
  6. We lived in Allen near Plano for five years so it's not that, just can't afford to move and need hubby to find job as well. My youngest is only 13 so can't leave family and go alone for a while.....just don't know what to do. I'll 43 as well! lol
  7. I just spoke to an HR dept at a local magnet hospital who said they will not hire RNs to work as anything else because it is "out of their scope of practice". Sooooo. Basically, I'm not able to work anywhere in the hospital at all. Also, as of January 1, 2012, they will no longer hire new grads without a BSN degree, period. All this hard work and I'm just so frustrated! I've signed up for the PALS, the ACLS, and to renew my BLS to keep it as current as possible and I'm enrolled and attending for my BSN and still can't even get a phone call to interview. Sheesh!
  8. Worth a try!!! I'll do it! Meantime, if you hear of any openings, could I be your new best friend?? lol
  9. I've applied for all postions and all shifts. I can't answer your email privately yet due to the account rules. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
  10. I've had my license since May 2011 and nothing in the entire area of Florida around the Tampa Bay. I've gone to looking over 3 hours drive away. Very frustrating! I've several recommendation letters and phlebotomy experience over a year and worked as a nurse tech at Tampa General who now tell me they aren't hiring new grads without either several years of experience or a BSN minimum degree. Now what? Any suggestions???
  11. I am on the opposite spectrum of having sent out hundreds of applications and no interviews. Any suggestions? Any at all would be appreciated!
  12. In Minot, ND they are hiring. Got this from another thread: https://www.healthcaresource.com/trinity/index.cfm?fuseaction=search.jobDetails&template=dsp_job_details.cfm&cJobId=118589 Good luck! I'm looking, too, but can't move due to kids graduating this and next year.
  13. One of the reasons I don't ever want to work on a "Q-word" floor. Too slow=too much gossip.
