PHCC Fall 2011 RN/LPN ROLL CALL!!!!!!
Hi jessikafl21: I went to Foot Action in Gulfview Square Mall and found boys'/mens' pair of Nike Shox. There are a few different models of the Shox. Some had silver around the check and on the back; however, the model I found did not have anything around the check or back of the shoe. There is no silver anywhere on the actual shoe part except for a little bit of silver on the top of the shox (the sole of the heal of the foot) and bottom of the shox (the sole of the heal of the shoe). The model I bought are called the Nike Shox Deliver (the receipt shows a shoe number of 6374837904050). They were the closest to all white I could find in the Nike Shox. Finish Line told me they didn't have all white anymore and the all white only came in mens' sizes, which she said runs big so they wouldn't have my size anyway. I asked Dr. Gabbard, the Associate Dean of Nursing, if this is acceptable and she said I'd be fine. The silver is minimal and I think our pants will probably cover most of it anyway. I found a picture at this link: http://www.champssports.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr--89835/sku--18130111&SID=8731&inceptor=1&cm_mmc=SEO-_-Feeds-_-Froogle-_-null I hope this helps. Good Luck!

PHCC Fall 2011 RN/LPN ROLL CALL!!!!!!
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm glad I got an opinion from someone who had been through it. I just don't want to make any mistakes by overwhelming myself because that may jeopardize my opportunity to get into the bridge program, let alone finish the LPN. Thanks so much for your thoughts!

PHCC Fall 2011 RN/LPN ROLL CALL!!!!!!
I went to an advisor today and she said PHCC allows PHCC LPN students to apply in May even though we haven't finished the program because they only open this up once a year. She said I have to have all prerequisites complete and that's my dilemma. First semester of the LPN program is 18.5 credits, so taking anything else would be over the max and I have to get approval from the Vice President. I contacted him today. I just don't want to overwhelm myself and ruin my GPA for acceptance. Thanks for your reply. I hope to see you at orientation!

PHCC Fall 2011 LPN-RN bridge
Hi, PHCC nurses! I wanted to ask some advice from previous LPN students. I have just been accepted into PHCC's LPN program for this fall. I want to apply for the bridge next fall. I know PHCC only offers this once a year. I need to take Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, as well as Microbiology. I'm trying to get permission to do so, but I wanted to take Anatomy and Physiology 1 while taking the LPN courses. I do not have a job or any children. Since you've been through the LPN program, what are your thoughts on this? Thanks for your help in making this decision!

PHCC Fall 2011 RN/LPN ROLL CALL!!!!!!
Hi, PHCC nursing students! I am starting the LPN program at the West campus in August. I had a question for anyone who has gone through the LPN program. I want to apply for the bridge RN program for next August. In order to be accepted, I need to take Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, as well as Microbiology prior to May. I have taken all other general courses and prerequisites. I'm trying to get permission to do so, but I was thinking about taking Anatomy and Physiology 1 in the fall while taking the LPN classes. I am not working and do not have any children. In your experience, is this too much? My issue is PHCC only has fall admission for the bridge program so if I don't take these classes prior to May, then I have to wait a year. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for your opinions on this!
