we mix 30 unit pit in 500cc of d5lr to give a 1:1 ratio. we start at 2 and increase 2-4 every 15-30 min until good ctx pattern. We can go up to 40 then need order after40. jama

HI! We also are supposed to use the 1-10 scale. 1 being no pain and 10 the worst pain. we have a poster in each room for the pt to see. we are also supposed to assess pp pt,& surgery pt with their vs and then chart the pain number on the graphic sheet.
  4. Hi! We used to have hospital scrubs until about 8 years ago we went to wearing our own scrubs. At first we all had to have same pattern then went to same color and now you can wear anything. My favorite is the denim. We do sections also. Some nurses use cloth long sleeve gown over their scrubs and some do not cover at all. We have scrub techs who obviosly wear sterile gown over their scrubs. we do wear disposable shoe covers, hats, masks. For lady partsl delivery we don't cover our scrubs. I like wearing what i want but don't like the cost (no uniform allowance) and don't like washing them in my washer. jama
  5. Are there any requirements on rns to maintain their cpr certification? Where i work the hospital cancelled all classes and told us we have a 6 month grace period after our certification expires. are hospitals required to provide cpr training to nurses? What happens (legally) if nurse performs cpr during the "6 month grace period"? Any thoughts?? Thanks, jama ------------------
