Roseman (USN) BSN Program 18-Month Track
Ok so I don't remember in particular which was verbal which was written BUT it was questions similar to ones asked when u apply for scholarships. Why do you want to be a nurse, what/who was and influential person or event in your life, describe event when you had to be a leader* http://www.career.arizona.edu/docs/interviewing/2012_preparationnursingadmissionsinterviews-pdf.pdf?sfvrsn=2 this can help you I think. PS PEOPLE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT VIDEO TESTING. IF YOU DO NOT PASS FIRST TIME AROUND THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU ONE ON ONE UNTIL YOUR SKILL IS PERFECT & THEN YOU TAPE.... but they already know you know the skill so you're basically guaranteed to pass it. Don't be nervous I have never heard of anyone failing to get in based on interview....

Roseman Fall 2013
Sure. As of last April ( after many of us have accepted our acceptance letters) the head of the school announced that the nursing program will no longer have group points during remediation ( a decision not supported by faculty!). How the testing works is a bit tricky. #1You take the exam then #2 you re-take it with your assigned group #3 you " challenge" questions- meaning if you thought a question on the exam had two possible answers or what ever other issue you state this on paper and MUST use book or slide references to support your claim. #4 you come back in about 2 hours and get your results. If your group got at least a 90% when re-taking the exam you will get 5% added to your individual score. IF YOU DID NOT SCHORE 90% OR ABOVE YOU MUST REMEDIATE. During remediation you take the exam and you get a challenge period, BUT no group points. IF you do not pass remediation with 90 or above you do NOT go onto clinical and you must Supper remediate ( only allowed once per supper remediation period). If you don't get 90 or above at that point you are kicked out of the program till next year. Each block differs in the amount of exams you must pass but usually its two written and a clinical skills video. Hope that helps.

Roseman (USN) BSN Program 18-Month Track
Hi guys I applied for next year and have my interview coming up march 19th. I did my pre reqs at unlv, but I think so far I like roseman's program better. If I could get some feedback on the 18month test type/sample questions that would be great! Are the questions as tricky as ive read they will be for the ABNS?also whats the deal with the computer fee? I already have a computer...do they really make u buy one just to go to the school? These are really my only concerns, otherwise I cant wait to finally start nursing school! Oh also have u guys heard about how any of the new grads of the 18month are doing with regard to finding work?

Does anyone know anywhere hiring CNA'S with no experience in LV,NV
If you have had it for a year but all you needed was a minimum of 6mo experience why not volunteer at your local hospital? Even if you tell them you are a pre-nursing student ( such as myself) and they are full they will find you hours! I'm assuming you collect unemployment if you have been jobless for 3 years use some ot that time to get experience even if they don't pay you- outdated work experience always looks bad...but community service hours always good! Think about it if you are trying to hire someone you want to see that they show ambition towards what they are doing and will give the same dedication to your company/ business. ( Ps- I'll be getting my CNA this summer and believe I already have a job lined up... It IS possible- and I live in Henderson)
