Applied to Duke and Georgetown. Backed out after talking to an NP that went to USA and enlightened me to the fact that the name on the diploma doesn't matter so why spend 10 times the cost for the same degree. I'll keep you updated.

AGACNP program, but considering changing after starting. We all take the same core courses, then branch off to subspecialties.

Ok! Seriously? I lost 6 points for not having the genogram or references in my "genogram" assignment! Firstly that was the whole purpose of the assignment, why would I not put it? Secondly, REFERENCES?????? The genogram is about us and our family why would we need to use references, but in good sporting measure I did find 2 articles and used 2 sentences from them and cited appropriately. SO why did I loose points for 2 aspects of the paper that are in fact there???? Im so glad that this is my last semester at this school. They hire some of the most idiotic, unrealistic TA's. I emailed her about the grade and she still has yet to give me a straight answer? Time to email the Prof.

I'm in! Hopefully AN wont erase this thread because they feel we are cheating! They took away the leadership thread because some pushed the limits by posting answers! I feel this thread is a great resource for clarification and support. Just as if in class you would turn to another student and ask for clarification. This is not considered cheating! Looking forward to my last 5 weeks with OU. This place has turned to a chaotic mess!

Ok so, has anyone received instructions from their TA yet about how long this community organization paper is supposed to be? I'm assuming the typical 3-5 page rule applies here!

Glad to see that I am following suit with everyone in my classes. This far I've been on track with all of you in these forums. Taking diversity and and this class as my final 2 before graduation! You guys have been great throughout all this.

No test takers out there yet? Wondering where to focus our studying. Supposedly the test for leadership was difficult. Already missing research study guides.

Anyone have any idea about how to submit the paper. It says must be submitted under the safe assign tab!? Yet, I see no such tab. Sorry meant to post in leadership

Yeah this class looks like a lot of busy work.

So I just took the quiz/test and missed one! I cant discuss which one it was but my recommendation would be to study the guide. Also pay attention to what you missed it may not actually be wrong. I am disputing the one I did miss based on information that was provided on the study guide and information found in the book about what the correct answer really is!

So, the question is.... For those of your that completed the Internal Validity assignment, where does it say that a paragraph or two is required for answering the questions? I do not see a grading rubric anywhere and have not heard anything from the TA about the requirements of the assignment. Any help or a copy of the rubric would be much appreciated.

Taking leadership and community together next session. Looking forward to being done with this class and hopefully on to ones where there is more order to the chaos. Good luck to everyone in these last 2 weeks.

Ok, so I just recieved this email clarifying DB3. Directions: Carefully review the critical thinking decision path on page 179 of your textbook and identify the differences between an experimental design and a quasi-experimental design. Also, be sure to carefully review the tables on page 183 and on page 187. Make a list of three strengths and three weaknesses for each design: experimental and quasi-experimental. Read thoroughly the article Characteristics of Insured Patients with Persistent Gaps in Diabetes Care Services. Article is posted on the announcement board. Decide whether this study was an experimental design or a quasi-experimental design and list three reasons to support your decision. Please list. Read pages 210-213 of your textbook then visit Ohio University's online Library, or another library of your choice, to locate a single article that is a systematic review or a meta-analysis of a topic related to diabetes. Write 2-3 well-developed sentences, per research article, addressing the review findings; Note: make certain to note how many articles in the review were qualitative and quantitative and state what quantitative designs were found. After reading the article you will address the findings in each article that is analyzed. A meta-analysis often analyzes between 3 -15 articles. You will write 2-3 sentences for each article analyzed. You do nothing with the reference page of the meta-analysis -only focus on the articles analyzed. Include a minimum of 2 in text citations with references at the end of the post Include a minimum of 2 (no more than 3) professional references; your textbook may be used as one of the references; other reference(s) must come from peer reviewed journals (search on the internet for the definition and examples of peer reviewed journals) Submit your responses to your peers by no later than 11:59 pm Sunday of Week 3.
