Hospital Counselors
Hello, I am currently a CNA working at a nursing home. And, talking to the residents is my favorite part of my job. I was considering going into Counseling. Do they have Hospital Counselors? Where they talk to patients going through a hard time, as well as be there when doctors or nurses need to talk to someone about the stress they have. Not really a nursing question, but I think it has something to do with nursing.

BSN Nursing Programs near Whispering Pines?
Are there any colleges or BSN nursing programs near Whispering Pines, NC? I plan on moving there (hopefully) with my extensive family after graduation, and I want to become a registered nurse BSN. Thank you in advance :)

Double Major in Nursing?
But the thing is, I really really enjoy psychology, not really for work purposes, but because that's what I'm interested in.

Double Major in Nursing?
I want to be a nurse, and work in the ER. However, Psychology has always been a great interest to me! I was wondering if it would be possible to double major? Would it do me any good in the nursing field? Would it be too much work if I did both degrees? And what exactly does a psychiatric nurse do? Thank you in advance :)

First Job as a CNA
Working in a nursing home!! Just finished clinicals a few months ago, and this is my first ever job (17). I've heard that... working is different that clinicals. Like, you are forced to do things that you aren't comfortable doing, or that the staff likes to take advantage of me lol xD Can you help me out? What is it really like for the newbie? Even for people working a while? What I'm asking, what challenges should I expect working as a CNA?

When did you decide nursing was for you?
My goodness! So many amazing stories! I am really considering nursing. I guess for me, it just doesn't feel right doing any other thing.

When did you decide nursing was for you?
" I would feel bad for the book that wasn't chosen." Oh my goodness! I was the same way. It was kind of OCD for me. The moments I really want to go into nursing, are when the Residents tell me they love me, or thank you so much. But, it's when I'm not working that I have doubts. Like, what if I want to grow old with a family? Will I have time for them?

When did you decide nursing was for you?
I recently got a job as a CNA, I am about to be a senior in high school, currently getting my EMT-Basic. I was for sure that getting into trauma nursing is what I want. However, I am starting to second guess, I mean I am only in high school, how do I possibly know what I want to do with the rest of my life? So, when was the moment that you decided nursing was for you? What happened?

Searching for a job is unbelievably frustrating.
You honestly need to start in LTC, go to every single nursing home in your area. Trust me, at least one of them will hire you. I don't even have my certification yet, but I tried place after place, rejection after rejection, and I finally find an awesome place to hire me!

Trauma Nursing, Paramedics, and the ER
I just got a job as a CNA and will be working as one my entire senior year, and I've taken a lot of health classes, so hopefully that makes me a good candidate for the program.

Trauma Nursing, Paramedics, and the ER
The only reason I would consider doing Paramedic, so I get into the ED a little quicker.
