  1. Hello, I'm sorry, but I disagree. I went through Adevia and did the NCLEX course. This course is not an Adevia Course, but a Kaplan course. Adevia helped me get through it, but the course was all from Kaplan. My rep at Adevia said that Kaplan was the best and that is why they recommend them. Well, I'd have to agree, as I passed the first time and I am now a nurse in Texas! If you want my opinion, I say go with Adevia as they are the only agency that I have not heard terrible stuff about. Good Luck!
  2. Hello All, I'm not sure who you talked to at Adevia, but I came to the US with them last year and they were great. I suggest you call back. I was not charged any money and they found me a job just near my brother, here in Dallas. I did have to pay for my NCLEX exam, but I got all that money back once I passed. Anyway, I'm here, just outside of Dallas and loving it! I'm making twice as much money and working half the time. Good luck to you all! Cindy
  3. I came to the US with Adevia and they were great! They were very sweet and helped me with everything I needed. They were better than the other UK agencies I looked into. They did not charge me, or keep a hold any of my documents like the other agencies do. (I have heard about agencies keeping nurses CGFNS certificates or NCLEX letters, unless they pay!) They do not hire nurses, but help them meet the requirements and then find positions directly with the hospitals. This was good for me because I only wanted to be in Dallas (my brother is here) and I could check out the hospital before I accepted signed anything. My hospital paid for everything and I even got a 2 bedroom flat when I got here. Since I have arrived (2 months ago) it has been great. The hospital is amazing. The other nurses here are very nice and help me with anything that I need. The shifts are great (only 3 per week!) and the money is better than I could ever make in the UK. Overall, my experience has been great and I would recommend going with an agency... they took the worry out of the process and my consultant was very helpful. Nursing in the US is great for anyone that is up for it... it is much better than the UK.
