hospital experience dilemma
i know.. and thanks for the advice too :) I will, if i still can.. but I'm pretty stubborn about my principles.. and yeah been looking for nursing opportunities outside the country as well.. I really plan to wait for my US Visa instead.. if you happen to have any chance of getting news to whether any country have any job opening for nurses like us without any formal experience yet.. let me know.. :)

hospital experience dilemma
hahaha yeah.. join the club! Welcome! Your US employer will give you a work permit? wow.. I applied for I-140, that's immigrant Visa under EB3.. Takes a looong time though.. But it's steadily moving now.. I had my training before as a nurse volunteer in a 1,200 ++ bed capacity hospital for 6 months, hoping to get hired as well. However, I don't have anyone to back me up to speed up the hiring process.. Well, I do have a close relative working in the government who is more than willing to be my "backer", but I totally resist that system.. I prefer equality, something like, I can find a work on my own effort with a hospital really considering and looking into my credentials.. Hoping to get a hospital work soon.. So, if you have that opportunity as a staff nurse! Go grab that.. A lot of nurses are dying to get one.. By the way, my efforts working as a volunteer nurse in that big gov't hospital didn't get me anywhere.. doesn't in any way count as an experience.. Except, I really got to use and practice my skills well enough..

hospital experience dilemma
In US I think you will still be trained in the hospital that employed you once you get there.. Are there big chances of getting hired in government hospital? I always preferred the government hospital because they offer higher salary and that you'll have better exposure because they have more patients. However, if you are being offered a staff nurse position in the private institution.. Better grab it! In other countries, they don't count volunteer/probationary and the likes as experience.. When are you set to leave for US?

CA BON & IERF
I have the same problem.. however I am based in the philippines. I am NCLEX Ca passer. And I wish to get a license in VT because CA won't issue my license only if I have SSN. One of the requirements of VT is get either IERF or CGFNS. I don't have CGFNS. Am I required to get IERF too for me to issue my license at VT? Cause I read on other threads that I just need to submit the application form plus 150$, the Ca pass letter, Phil RN license photocopied and verified. School credentials (TOR, curriculum etc.. Do I need to get IERF for this? or just let my university/school submit these documents to VTBON directly?).. Thanks a lot :)

I need help. My licensure application to California just expired..
thanks silverdragon for your big help!! So that means.. for me to be able to get my license in vermont I just need to submit: 1. my application form 2. 150 USD 3. PRC license photo copied and certified true copy 4. Ca pass letter But I do need to go to my University where I graduated so they can forward my other requirements such as my TOR and RLE? Also PRC needs to send them my Verification of LIcense Also a letter from the institution where I used to work in Unless all these requirements are received by VT BON, then that's the time they will get to process my license? Will they mail me the license?
