New Grads - Where are you now?
I'm at a Long Term Facility in Ma. I attended a community college in Ma. Obtained my license November 2013. January 28 2014 God bless me with a job at LTF as an LPN. It was the first solid job that was offered to me. I went to so many interviews only to waste my time and their time. But I'm thankful I did! I currently still maintain my CNA license in hopes of getting a job at my old place becuase I'm already familiarize with their system. At my LTF job I worked in the rehab facility and it such so busy. Almost everyday there's an admission but its all a learning experience;so much to learned, so much to do in a very short 8hrs shift. I'm so thankful to have gotten a job and bless! There really is a different btw classroom nursing and real world nursing.

Discouraged
I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I definitely agreed with Nurseypoo82 don't put the other employer in your application nor your resume. Stay strong and faith. I believe that you will get something better :)

3rd Day of Orientation and I hate it
Is it normal to feel this way? I'm a new nurse and on my 3rd day of orientation. The nurse that I was shadowing let me just say was very helpful at wanting me to learn as much as I can but I felt a little intimidated by her. Remind you this is my 3rd day; She asked me to write a note on a resident who I don't even know. Get report from the 7-3 nurse, do narcotic count w/7-3 nurse & pass out the 3-11 medications. As I was writing the note she laughed at me and I said to her "What is it?". She replied, "nothing". Again, I was doing narcotic count with the oncoming nurse she laughed at "something" I said. Has this happen to you? Any Suggestion?? Thanks

Salem State University LPN to BSN Program
I wanted to ask you if you can keep us updated as to when you are enrolled in the program and just basically a follow-up because I'm also interested in that route. Did you apply to the school yet? If you did how are classes/clinical going for you. Wishing you the best :)

Hey nursebrownsugah, I wanted to let you and anyone else reading this post not to give up because you can beat this test! It's only by the Grace of God that I pass my examination! I did the Kaplan online classroom anywhere,NCSBN and did the did the ReMar Review! The main key for me was to control my nerves. You guys can do this. And make sure you believe this too :) Best of luck to you and God Bless!

nursing school bullying
I would suggest you to talk to a professor whom YOU feel comfortable discussing the situation. I had a situation that happenned to me while I was in nursing school but waited until it got to a point were I just couldn't take it anymore. I wouldn't suggest you to ignore it. PPL should know how to comport themselves... plus if you go to your STUDENT HANDBOOK it clearly list(s) how a student nurse should behave themselves. Do what you feel is best for yourself :) take care

Can't seem to pass the NCLEX PN
Hi nursebrownsugah, don't give up! I took my PN NCLEX and didn't pass it. I was crushed to be honest. I'm still a little depress but I gotta keep pushing and striving for myself and my husband who has been supporting me. I was so anxious and exhausted when taking the exam....I got to a point were I was just clicking away answers. I didn't take any breaks (that's where I went wrong). Everyday I try to tell myself this test is not bigger than I am...I can do this in the name of Jesus Christ. I know its hard... every now and then I still find myself crying but we can overcome this! This too shall PASS!

took nclex pn
Good Evening Y'all! I just wanted to say that was so thoughtful and kind of you latyLPN ! I'm scheduled to take it and every day that goes by I'm feeling like I'm not ready! I have the Saunders Comprehensive 4 edition(green Book) but there's just too much info...I feel like I'm losing my mind every time I do questions from that book and the CD. I'm also doing KAPLAN! I like it but trying to aim for 60% or 65% on the q-bank questions is not hard easy. I don't know if you're familiar with it...its review class/online course that help you with NCLEX. It's just very disappointing! I began to question myself if I'm really ready for the exam. Did that happen to you? Ohh, also when do you know you're ready to take the exam?
