  1. Sorry to hear that. Is it UNR Reno nursing?
  2. Will anyone tell me how much this LVN program cost at Unitek? How much it will cost from LVN to RN bridge program? Is it worth spening that much money? I'm just curious. I just want to compare the cost jc vs cal state uni vs unitek/kaplan/carrington. I read somewhere on this thread that unitek don't cover financial aid. Thanks!
  3. Thanks to all who all replied. Is there a chance to get in even in ADN program with C's? Anyone knows out of state schools who accept low gpa? I know private schools are so expensive but that will be the right resort. Am I the only with low gpa? I thought lot of people will reply :)
  4. Do you know where out of CA? What schools out of CA will accept the low gpa? Working part time in nursing home and will take TEAS when ready. By the way what are your plans. Thanks.
  5. Please help me what should i do. Low GPA in science pre-reqs, B,C,C and one more physiology class to go but got mostly all A's in other non science classes. Over all GPA is 3.3 and I know it is very low. What should I do in this case? I know it might be hard to get into CA schools of nursing. Is it possible to go out of state or maybe to get into LVN prog? Anyone else in same situation? Private schools, worth it? Any help will be appreciated!
  6. How much Kaplan program cost for ASN? Does Sacramento has ASN? What are the requirements to get into I mean for GPA? What will be the minimum GPA get you in?
  7. Do they have lottery system as well? If you guys don't mind what were the highest and lowest points in order to qualify? Did you guys apply multiple times? Is it easy to get in and what should be the gpa for pre-reqs?
  8. Yes, bought it online TEAS 5. If you guys don't mind sharing your gpa's and teas score, Is sierra college has lottery system as well? If so how would you know if you are in included into the lottery or not?
  9. Thanks Akulahawk. I'm just wondering I haven't seen much feedback/posts for Northern California.
  10. I guess its hard to get in any school. You need to be 4.0 and 90%+ in TEAS and you will be lucky if you get picked in lottery system.
  11. I tried to look for most of the threads and haven't seen particular for sacramento areas nursing schools. My concerns are- Any school easier to get in for ADN/BSN? What are the different nursing programs (ADN vs BSN) and requirements? What are the GPA & TEAS requirements? When you reply do you mind posting your GPA & TEAS scores and which school did you attend. Some of the schools require chemistry and some don't, why is that? If you re-take the class how many points do you lose? Does volunteer/work & bilingual helps to get into program? As I read here some of the graduates have hard time finding jobs, is it worth going into nursing programs now? Thanks in advance for all the replies.
  12. Does sierra accept if someone already passed the TEAS test or you still have to take it? I'm sure there is a requirement for passing score, I believe 70% or more.
  13. Thanks tstic364 for the links. Anyone suggest which book is good for TEAS? Anyone selling that book after you pass your TEAS? I'm here in Roseville area.
  14. Hello to all. I'm a new member and reading the threads for more information and better understanding. My daughter wants to be RN. She has done most of her pre-reqs except anatomy (currently taking during summer), physilogy and chem2b. Her gpa is not that great around 3.5 but she has work history and volunteer hrs. Which book is good for TEAS? Anyone wants to sell it if you still has it? Anymore tips for us?
  15. Thanks Stephanie and Theresa. Actually I'm a reading this site for daughter and she is going to sierra currently. She still has to finish chem2b and Physiology. Do you mind telling the GPA and any idea the cut off point for sierra college? She had to re-take microbio and got C. Her non-science gpa is A's & B's, mostly A's. She is taking anatomy currently. Please help me giving any tip? I'm just wondering how did you not get accepted at scc and arc? Isn't sierra hard to get in?
