  1. I can't wait to start and meet everyone.
  2. I'm originally from Ohio. But lived in San Diego the last 2 years.
  3. Congrats! The military designates class by fiscal year. So you'll be in C/O 2017 with a few of us in the thread. Can't wait to meet all of you in January!
  4. Very exciting! Where are you from?
  5. Yeah board meeting take place usually around November 15th.
  6. San Antonio. Thanks!
  7. I had my phase 2 interview. Heard from Ms. CL at NEU that I'm in. Waiting on the official word though. I'm pumped
  8. Great info. Thank you for your service and experience.
  9. Thanks bman. I'll worry about that when the time comes. Getting my CCRN next week then interviewing in October. Thanks for your help!
  10. I have my stage 2 interview coming up shortly. What did some of you bring with you to the interviews? Resume, GRE, etc? Thanks!
  11. Congrats Toto!
  12. If I'm accepted, I plan on commuting via Motorcycle. I like quiet, relaxing, midwestern vibes. (Coming from San Diego, I can tell you I definitely don't like living on top of people and need my own yard, etc.) What would be an ideal environment? Are there Military communities like there are in SD? Thanks!
  13. You know, this has been a dream of mine since 2009, and I finally got reinvigorated last year to start on it. I'm so happy that it's almost time because I'm really feeling burned out. I started by studying for the GRE, finally took that, was told I needed a biochem, so i took the graduate level one online, and now i did MEPS and am getting all my LOR's in and such, it's just wearing on me.
  14. What were your stats, if you don't mind? Text me if you want.
  15. I know right? He and I were going to be USAGPAN buddies if we both got in. But I think he's doing better than I currently. After all, a bird in the hand...
  16. Hey gang, I just MEPs'd, and applied to NEU. Waiting on my Rec's to be completed for that app then that's done. I'm hoping to get an idea of when my phase II interview will be since I'll be out of town 2 times over the next 2 months due to weddings and such. Hope all is well with everyone and good luck getting boarded!
  17. I just interviewed on Monday so we will see if my status changes at all. Did you interview as well??
  18. Has anybody else been notified of having an interview? They emailed me last monday for an interview within a week! So fast! Anybody have any advice! It's such a dream come true for me! Thanks!
  19. I just got an interview for the presbys ICU track. Very excited.
  20. I have a quick question, I was going to go Navy reserves during school but never followed through with it. Now I have earned my BSN and want to be in critical care. I also have 50k in school loans. Will the navy assist me in repayment of those loans for critical care specialty? I know some specialties earn more than others.
  21. Great! Thank you for your response. My preceptorship in my home state was in SICU and I fell in love with the continuity of care. I might have to move back home in order to pursue my goals of being a competent ICU nurse and mentor to other young nurses like myself who aspire to be more. You are right, it seems here that opportunities are diminished.
  22. Good Morning everyone! So before I graduated, I was the only student in my class to precept in a trauma 1 SICU and I fell in love with it. When I moved to socal to start a new grad program, I was told that, even though I applied for the ICU track, I would be put into the PCU track because although I am very applicable, the research shows that I am more likely to move back home within 1-2 years (This doesn't make sense to me, but I digress). I have had my current job for a year and am really trying to get back to that high acuity of care that I really familiarized myself with back home. So, I wanted to inquire about availability of any ICU training programs in the area for Acute Care/PCU nurses with 1 year experience. I know of 2 in San Diego that are in 6 month rotations. What about Hoag in OC? Do they have a training program? Are there anymore in the LA county area and south? Just some general info would be great. Thanks!
  23. I took mine for Ca, in Ohio, last friday and was on breeze by sunday night.
  24. I passed! had the good popup after 75 questions.
  25. I took the NCLEX for CBRN and got that email also.
