Passed the NCLEX (2nd Time)
Passed the Nclex after 210 questions!!!!!The first time I took it I failed after taking the whole 265 questions. I don't think I was ready to take a 6hr exam even if you know there is a chance you can sit for the whole thing. I was ready this time though, after 150 questions I got myself mentally ready to take the whole thing so I was a little shock when it shut off around 210. I was like ????... I didn't see that coming . A lot of emotions pass through me. I didn't feel confident or non-confident either, just calm. I went home and took a nap because I could not sleep the night before even though I wasn't tired at all in the morning when I woke up cause the test was at 8am. After my 6hr nap, I did the Pearson Vue trick and I got the good pop up. THANK YOU GOD!!!! I was relief but not too much because I wanted to see it officially. Lo & behold, next morning I check my name on the license verify website and there it was, I was officially an RN. I was so relieved, it has been a long journey. I'm glad I could finally close this chapter. For those of you still out there getting ready for the NCLEX, be confident in yourself first and foremost, that is very important. Second, you already know the basics to pass, learn how to take the test and work on your weak areas. Don't overwhelm yourself with too many things to study. What I usedPrioritization, Delegation, & Assignment (Practice exercises for the NCLEX Examination 2nd edition)Did half of the book (very important in my opinion, helped me improve a lot in that category, which is HUGE & A LOT in the NCLEX) KaplanUsed it to practice questions in the Qbank, Questions Trainer test, Sample NCLEX test, Focused Review test. Also to review a material in the so fabulous Content Review Videos ....Helped a lot. I kind of follow their guide on how to effectively use the Kaplan website. They have a study guide schedule for when you want to take the NCLEX. I follow their plan a little. Watch a whole lot of videos on what the NCLEX is about & how to prepare for it. I WISH I UTILIZED THE KAPLAN MORE THE FIRST TIME. It really has a ton of info. Just browse through it. It also come with the class session of Kaplan review , with a bunch of questions videos in each NCLEX category which they go with you on answering each question. Honestly Kaplan is all you need. Definitely worth everything. I had it through my nursing school and just continued to ask for an extension over & over (max of 3 month each time) after I fail the first time. PicmonicI also used Picmonic (I wish this was around when I was in nursing school) If you are in nursing school, YOU HAVE TO GET THIS.... It has so many things from anatomy & physiology content to everything you need. You can focus on pharm, med surge, psych, OB , Peds etc.... & it's kinda fun & easy to remember. If you want to have all A's in nursing school while studying things in a fun way without reading too much boring textbook. Get this ****, those drugs & topics that are hard to grasp or remember, it makes it sooo easy. It also cater for students in medical school. Cramfighter.comI use this as a study schedule guide. It does all the work for you, you can rearrange it however you want. I input what materials I am going to study: book, website, flashcards , apps, etc. It may have it or you can manually enter it. It will gives a day to day to day content to study. You can customize everything, how long you want to study each things, how many question you want to do every day, what days you want to study or not, etc. Input your exam date & it will give you the amount of content you need to study till your exam date Well I've said a mouthful, anybody has anymore questions, need advice, etc., don't hesitate to comment or if you need to speak in private let me know too. I'll be happy to help. Good luck to all my future RN's. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?
You dont need to worry about that. For the first semester they do the registration for you once you have paid all the $1000 fee. It might take them awhile to register you since it is only the beginning of december, but they will get around to everybody. Sometimes they wait till everyone has paid their fees to do everybody at once but it all depends.

For all of you that got accepted in to NSU, Congratulations!!!! I am just finishing my first semester of nursing and cant wait for the this break coming up and also to start clinicals next semester. For all of you thats doing the immunization, get a lab report to see if you have immunity for any of them, which would reduce the number of shots. it will make the process easier and faster. For uniforms, do not depend on the bookstore because it will take you forever to get it, because they are always overwhelmed with the amount of orders they receive from different programs including nursing. if you want to have your uniforms fast and cheap. Go to all uniform store on sunrise, who used to do the orders for NSU before they started doing it on their own. They know exactly what needs to be done and what colors you need. You can also try on the uniforms there, they also can get the names sewed on there. the only thing. that you should order through NSU is the Labcoat, because thats the only tghing you have to oreder through them. Everything else can be ordered somewhere else. IF anybody have any questions about anytghing elses let me know, I'm happy to help them out. GOOD LUCK!!!!

How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?
From what I used to see on the main campus, when i was taking my pre reqs the nursing students are alway in scrubs and i believe the lab coat is for the days when they have labs, but the classes that requires lab coat, you usually have that class everyday so they probably have their lab coats in their car even on the days when the dont have lab just in case. lab coats i believe are not required unless your in a lab, it does matter where ur at medical school, pharmarcy or nursing. For the all white sneakers, there are all of them out there, look online.

How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?
Hey Guys, Sorry I've been awol...busy, busy, busy lol.....Well before I answer all you guys questions, I wanna let you guys know if you are already registered for classes, you can go on the nsu bookstore website and and enter each of your classes info, where it says get ur texbook. It has 4 things that it needs you to put from dept to clas # and once you add all you classes, you can submit it and it will bring up all the books that the classes requires and also make recommendations for whatever like a flashdrive. As for uniform, My friend whos in the nursing program recommends me to buy the top from the schools uniform website, where they can make the embroidery the way its supposed to be done. For the bottoms I recommend going the school bookstore and take a picture and information about what color it is and go somewhere else to try out the pants before you buy them because that is mostly where people have problems. I dont recommend waiting till orientation for uniforms because if you buy it from the school it will takes at least two weeks because they also have other programs that they amke orders for, so it might take time. You should at least order the top, then you can look around for a matching bottom... Since it so close to the beginning of school things might be backed up.

How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?
Guys, Yes, we have to order uniform and have it embroidered with the nursing label and our names, plus the patch on the arm sleeve. If they dont have your size in stocks, it may takes weeks for it to come through, especially ordering it from nova. The order place says that I will order mine from , say that their take about a week or a week and a half. I have a friend who goes to the main campus in the nursing program and from what i can tell and the other nursing students in the program that I used to see on campus, they wear their uniform everyday. and you dont start clinicals till the second semester or third I believe. My friend bought her uniform somewhere else because it was cheaper :the address is 7051 west broward blvd, plantation fl 33317 phone # 954-316-7051 Its call Uniform for america, they have different style and the cheapest is $12 and some change and it goes up depending on the style. if you order from the school its going to be more expensive and takes more time because most of their students order from them and from dealing with them before with books and everything, they take forever. As for books, they way too expensive, i learned my lesson from freshman year to never buy books from the bookstore unless its absolutely nessecary and its my last resort. As for what books to buy, the syllabus is not posted yet in any of the classes. To check that you search the word "course wizard" in the nova home page and it will bring up a list, you have to pick the second one from the top and it will bring you to the page you want You can either look it up by semester or your course number.

Hello, To those who still are not registered for classes in any of the campus, you can call them and request to be registered early. thats exactly what I had to do. Before you call them about it, check your VIP page in the area where it said that you have been accepted in the nursing program. It should say underneath it wether you are fully admited into the program as in all you paper work and financial aid as been received and processed. If it does then you can call them and ask to be register early. For those going to Ft Myers Judy Rossington is the lady who does the registration, you can call her at (239) 274-3486 but you need to have a reason why you should be registered early and she will ask you to send her an email stating why: her email is [email protected] of Luck to everybody

Nova Southeastern University Entry-Level BSN Program
To anyone planning to move to fort myers for the fall entry nursing program at Nova, and looking for a roommate. I am looking to rent a house between the 800 to 950 a month range and would like to know if anybody is interested in being my roommate and split it. I want to have a nice, descent place that is also in a safe area. It will probably be a 3bed/2bath/2car garage, hopefully with a pool. I plan to move in on August 1st, so I could be ready and situated before school starts. If anyone is interested and serious about it, hit me up at [email protected].
