  1. Congrats! I received my acceptance email on thursday, the 29th as well. I believe I posted on the other forum though. DFWgal could you please send me the link, I couldn't pull it up. Thanks! :) & again congratulations to us and I look forward to meeting you all!
  2. BTW we should create our facebook page soon! :))
  3. Hey everyone! Received my notification email at 2:57 :) Congrats to all and can't wait to meet y'all!!
  4. You're welcome! good luck to us
  5. Greetings to all! I was accepted on March 21st at 10:53 am :heartbeat I know I am super late replying on here lol, but I was out of town. I'm very excited, but still waiting to hear from other nursing programs
  6. Ktdidit, I believe the notifications vary among the Dallas and Houston campus. I called the Dallas campus, so you should call the Houston to confirm.
  7. Hang in there guys! We will be notified Friday :heartbeat:confused:
  8. We are all here *patiently" awaiting! How is everyone dealing with the anxiety? I'm just ready to know now.
  9. @girlwarrior: I actually had another concern/question, it's regarding the Hep B shots. At the school I applied to TWU, they don't require us to take action for our shots till notified of acceptance. However, UTHSC SA may differ. I am aware that it is a six month process, so should I go ahead and get my shots?
  10. @Girlwarrior: Thanks for the advice and info on housing! That seems pretty reasonable compared here, where I pay more. Hopefully I will get to that level of being a member of the FB page for this class. Thanks again!
  11. @ Girlwarrior Thank you for providing the helpful info! I am very excited, but still a bit worried about my TEAS score. I scored 70%, but my GPA is pretty competitive, a 3.86. I also have all A's in my science pre-reqs, except A&P2 lab. Just remaining hopeful that I had great responses in my supplemental app as well. Yes, that would be helpful if you could provide us with tips for the first semester. Also, how is housing in the San Antonio area? Do they have reasonable priced apts close to campus. I'm currently in the Dallas location :/ Branee
  12. Hello prospective students! I been browsing through UTHSC SA's threads as well. But now that I see ppl on here I want to join! I am a current TWU student. I applied to TWU, UTMB, UTHSC SA, & UTA. If accepted here, I would have to take Chemistry II in the summer ugh! It sucks because this is the only nursing school I applied to that requires an additional chemistry course. I haven't received my supplemental app either, but I'll be looking out for it next week! Good luck to all!!
  13. Welcome! & Yes March, I was surprised as well because applicants from last Fall were notified in mid April. I heard they were low on staff members then though; they must be on it this semester! I like March better the anxiety will end sooner than I imagined lol. Good thing we will be on Spring Break right before so I can keep my mind occupied! This info is from the Dallas campus; where I applied.
  14. How is everyone doing dealing with the anxiety? I'm feeling a bit better after speaking with the College of Nursing advisor this morning. She was basically saying that yes there were lots of applicants, 880, but it is around the usual. She said we need to keep in mind that 100's of those applicants will be ineligible to apply due to not taking the TEAS, not meeting GPA requirement, etc.. So good luck everyone! She also informed me that we will find out around the end of March
  15. Nope, not a word and we probably won't hear much from them till April
  16. Voldemort: Thanks and I'm just remaining hopeful! DFWgal: No not yet but it would be a good idea to go ahead and start. Have you?
  17. Voldemort: I was wondering the same thing because I was aware there were many applicants for the Fall 2012; so this will be a pretty competitive applicant pool. (Btw how did u get that stat of applicants? Was that given to you by an advisor?) However, it isn't a reason to get discouraged! There are so many other factors to consider such as wait-listing and just that you would be surprised of who can be accepted. I scored 70% on the TEAS so I was a bit discouraged, but now I'm more positive about my chances. My GPA is a 3.86 for science pre-reqs with the bump a 4.26 and all A's in first attempts except A&P2 lab. Hopefully those considerations rather than my TEAS score itself, will get me in. If not, I applied to four other schools. Did u apply to any other schools? Cheer up and stay positive!
  18. I feel the exact same! I applied to four hopefully I will get in somewhere CLOSE to Dallas; but my main target is TWU. So did you do your pre-req's at TWU Houston or you are a transfer?
  19. LOL, same here! I took the HESI right after finals then began preparing for the TEAS & applying to nursing schools; pretty much sums up my Christmas break. We are just dedicated pre-nursing students! Lol, soon about to receive our initial title as a nursing student. Also, where did u apply to for the HESI?
  20. Thanks Ktdidit! Yes, I am VERY relieved because timed test are not my thing at all, but I actually managed my time really good. Are u glad as well? Also, thanks for reminding me about the financial aid. I will be applying for financial aid and scholarships mid February; can't miss out on that! You should all apply for financial aid before the deadline because you don't have to accept the award on your portal for the Fall till April in case.
  21. SSRM: I have received my scores; I took the TEAS Jan. 13th and scored only 70%. I will have to be satisfied with that score for now, but I think my chances of getting in is good still. My science GPA is a 3.86, with the bump 4.26, and A's in all first attempts except A&P2 lab. So just being hopeful
  22. Really? Yeah, Chemistry wasn't that bad; just not my favorite course I would rather A&P :)
  23. Oh okay, I thought you applied for UTHSC San Antonio. SA requires 8 hours of chemistry
  24. Ktdidit: Thanks for that info! Looks like I need to look into getting the HEP B soon. I also applied to UTHSC SA, UTA, & UTMB, but not a big fan of Galveston. Did u already take Chemistry II for UTHSC?
