National University BSN Program
I've heard that online is easier than classroom, however I took it in the classroom and got an A. If you do take it in the classroom, read notes BEFORE class and it will be a breeze! If you ever need help or tutoring for that class, let me know.

Lies of the ER.....
I've heard endless stories from my mentor about early morning calls from the ER when her assistance was needed to retrieve any number of things from a man's colon. I've heard the of the hotwheels, keys, various squash, candles; you name it! She said it almost became a game to see who could come closest to guessing the next "lost item" they found!

I contacted Ms. M----- and she was able to tell me how I did. Pretty much just gives you the essay score. But I am still waiting for the official grade break down

English section killed me too. I got 86% on TEAS, if it weren't for the grammar I probably could have had a higher score. GPA of 3.6 and was told I got 4/5 on essay portion. Seems to me that the TEAS test score really is the determining factor.

Hey Marissa! Welcome =) We have a FB group page, you should join us if you haven't yet! Kadeboy: I waited about 3 weeks before I got my TEAS test email with the date, My test was scheduled 3 weeks after the email was sent, so start studying ASAP, the more time you have, the better. Everyone has a different waiting period because there are multiple sessions for the TEAS test, if you take the test just a few weeks after applying, you will have to wait longer to hear the good (hopefully) news!

Congrats "Happy"! My email was just a notice saying that there was some kind of error and that the previous status was erased. It said to re-check my student portal for the new status! I think that the email only went out to those who were mistakenly declined...

yes, first time applying. I am meeting with ------ on Wednesday, hopefully we can work something out. My biggest concern is that I have to reapply by the 10th, and the earliest pre-nursing forum date (because now I have to take it again) is in July.

Bioman, I just got back from the meeting at NU in Rancho Bernardo. I spoke to an admissions advisor, nursing advisor and even the head of the nursing department. No one knows anything yet. They all tell me that ------ is the one who handles these issues and that we need to contact her. However, she is out of the office until Wednesday. I left work and drove an hour and a half for nothing. My only hope is to meet with ------on Wednesday. If I was denied for academic reasons, that's one thing. However the head of nursing told me that the pre-nursing forum is only valid for one year. I attended the forum one year and 6 days before applying. Forget frustrated, now i'm pi**ed.

I origionally WAS denied for the application process, I had to talk to my counselor for several days to get it waived, they had to find the physical paper where I wrote my name on the check-in sheet. The question is, did they enter the attendance in, or did they just patch up the problem with a waiver.

86% on TEAS, 3.6 GPA, passed all classes the first time. Denied. I am driving to the school in an hour to get to the bottom of this. Like you Bioman, I can't seem to find the meaning of my denial. When I tried applying for the program online several months ago I had a problem with records saying that I never took the pre-nursing forum, which I did. My counselor had to waive the forum so that I could apply, and now records show that I never went to the orientation for pre-nursing. Perhaps this is why I was denied. Maybe I misunderstood, but I was under the impression that it was a done deal. Everyone I've talked to from my classes and the TEAS test date scored lower than I did. You guys here seem to have good test scores, but some people outside of this forum got in and they scored in the low 70s and had a 3.0 not 3.5.... This is so frustrating.

Cheyenne, there are so many programs and universities that offer nursing, you might as well apply if you already have the classes for it! Look into Kaplan, grossmont, and U of Pheonix

Cheyenne, the program average for TEAS 5 is 68%, there's still hope! Still "in review"

Berrs, we are all going it! Lol. I'm expecting my letter no later than the 10th. Although that would kill me to have to actually wait that long. I was told by the test administrator that they expected only 120 applicants for this cohort because the new test was out (and cancelled all version 4 scores) and because many applicants did not have a high enough Gpa to even takethe Teas test! Over 1/3rd of applicants are expected to be accepted

Lol, zeto. Fair enough. I was told be the administrator of the test that letters would be mailed out 1st week of june... ONE MORE WEEK!

Hey everyone =) Nice to meet you all, my anxiety is a little less intense knowing that I have others who are waiting with me lol. I took the TEAS exam in the beginning of May, they gave statistics at the end of the test on the National and program averages. The National average for the U.S was only 63% and our program average for NU was only at 68%! That makes me feel better about my score. Like most of you I studied my butt off for that test and was so worried about not being able to get an A on it. After knowing the averages I felt much better. My guess is that they only people that you will talk to regarding the scores are those who are willing to disclose their scores (the ones who scored 70+, everyone else who scored lower isn't talking about it, or they are likely lying to spare embarrassment). If you scored over the average for the program (68%) then you have "very good chances, as long as you are a decent writer and have a GPA of 3.0 or above" this was a (somewhat) direct quote from the instructor for the NU nursing program who administered my TEAS test. Thanks for the heads up on the student portal status check I hope to see you all in October. What is everyone's real name? Mine is Kitty -ms. kitty
