  1. Hi guys! Just wondering on how long does it take for the board to send a response letter? Thanks!
  2. Thanks nursegreta!!!! I appreciate your help! :)
  3. Hi, just wanted to ask for suggestions on where to get quality yet affordable bls, acls, and cpr classes for certification? I am from Los Angeles and I prefer it to be just 1-10 miles away. Sylmar, San Fernando Valley, Reseda, Tarzana, Burbank, and Glendale are good locations. Thanks in advance! :)
  4. Hi! Was planning to do the same thing too. But after everything that happened (same case as yours), the ca brn website is like my facebook page, it's bookmarked, and all that. I check it all the time and kept on reading their rules. One of them regarding endorsement is this.. To qualify for endorsement (reciprocity) into California as a RN, you must hold a current and active license in another state or Canada, have completed an educational program meeting all California requirements, and have passed National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) or the State Board Test Pool Examination (SBTPE). The Canadian Comprehensive Examination is not acceptable. If you do not possess these qualifications, you do not qualify for licensure by endorsement and must apply to take the examination instead. This held me back. What if they tell me again that I'm not eligible? This time for endorsement because my education, again, does not meet Cali requirements? What do you think? Oh my God, I wanna move to another state just to get a license! :/
  5. SAME SENTIMENTS!!!! asked around in a couple of schools here in LA. and as usual, bad news again. They said i have to take up 12 units of useless already taken **** from their college such as English, Speech, History, before they evaluate me for entrance in their nursing program.. Probably gonna take 1 1/2 to 2 years. My career timeline is so*** up!!!!!!
  6. Just graduated last April from Angeles University Foundation, Philippines.. Help Me!!!!
  7. my analyst is ********.. what will i do? is there a solution to this problem? it's just so unfair!!
  8. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE ELIGIBILITY TO TEST DEPENDS OR IS BASED ON THE LICENSING ANALYST? Because my analyst is telling me to make up a class, specifically, psych nsg, before i can take the licensure exam.. while others, who went to the same school as i am.. are already eligible! Is this how it really works? FRUSTRATED!!!
  9. HI! I have the same problem. Browsed for a couple of schools online, but it seems that all of em ran out of slots already... they say i have to wait for the next semester which is january... awwww, too much time wasted. Hmm, May I know if any of you guys are from AUF? let's help each other.. this issue is stressing me out. it's like the batch '11 has taken all the bad luck. :'(
  10. hi! emailed you! thanks in advance! :)

  14. WOW! thanks for all your replies.. With everything you suggested, I'd take the kaplan book then do the online q trainer. I will probably focus only on the imp. contents (info which i think will be in the exam! hope i think right! haha) and not cover to cover.. plus lots of practice questions online!!! please pray for me! I wish everything will go well and perfect! thanks again to everyone, especially to my kababayans!!! :)
  15. Congratulations! may i know what Kaplan program you took? on-demand, classroom anywhere? and how did you study? please give me tips.. i'm planning to take the exams by july..:)
  16. Hi! just another confused new grad aiming to pass the exam ASAP! But how can I pass when I don't even know where to start!!! So yeah, I'm planning to take Kaplan for test prep but they have a bunch of programs! Can someone please enlighten me on what is better, or the best thing to do with Kaplan? PLEASE!!!! HELP!!!! ME!!!!! :) a. DO SELF REVIEW WITH KAPLAN BOOKS ( if so, does it matter if i use a 2007 edition book?) b. TAKE THE ON-DEMAND PROGRAM (online, on your own) c. TAKE THE CLASSROOM ANYWHERE (again online, but you have to like, get up, and go with the live streaming etc.) d. TAKE THE IN-CLASSROOM PROGRAM (8days, if so, will they be discussing content or just test taking strategies?) LAST QUESTION: Do I really have to read a book from cover to cover? Coz some people I know, who already passed, suggest that they just focused on the practice questions... UGHHHHHHH. THANKS IN ADVANCE! :redpinkhe
  17. spongebob6286.. you got the last line right! patience is really a must here in the PI. and the processing between the US and PI are way different.. so you got finger printed at the NBI here, right? was it accepted right away? coz i've been reading stuffs about rejection or something if it's done outside the US.. i'm still a bit confused.. but these forums really are helping me.. thanks!!!
  18. thanks for your reply! yep.. licensure.. sorry for that.. 4 months? boohoo.. so i guess i'd just have to do whatever i can here.. and if i don't finish in time.. i'd just find my way in the US.. it would be harder i bet.. but there will definitely be no gain without any pain.. thanks again! :)
  19. hello! i just got my BSN title this April and I'm leaving in a month for California, for good! I seriously need suggestions on what should I do/get/accomplish before I leave the Philippines. during the past month, after grad, I've been very lux, chilling at home, and now i feel doomed coz a friend just told me that I have to apply for NCLEX here and now for things to be easier and faster. do you think i can accomplish everything in a month? and i just wanna ask about the fingerprinting thing, how can i avoid the fingerprint rejection? please reply! will appreciate it! :redbeathe
