University of South Alabama NP program
Hi Mmutk, I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having with finding a clinical site. USA usually have established contact with some clinical site but the problem I had during my time was that it was so far away from where I lived so I had to look for other clinical site closer to where I live. When you approach other sites, show them your liability insurance hopefully it will help reduce some fear that they may have. As students, you should be covered by your school. If you continue to have problem finding a site, contact your program director and discuss it with him/her. Few years ago, I learnt that as from March 2019, schools will be mandated to provide clinical sites for their students. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best! Blessing

Chamberlain College of Nursing BSN Program
Hi Kmichalak, Chamberlain is a very good school. I did my RN-BSN and graduated in 2008. That was my first experience with online program and I enjoyed every bit of it. A lot has been said about the school check page 1 of this thread to have details about chamberlain https://allnurses.com/az-nursing-programs/chamberlain-college-nursing-448082.html Please bear in mind that for you to succeed, you have to be ready to put in your best, please do not procrastinate, do your assignments on time so you don't lose any points. USA NNP program
hi nicurn04, -i like a lot of things about usa especially with the fact that it’s online and it requires only 45credit hours for you to graduate whereas other schools require between 54-72credit hours for graduation (psy np). what i don’t like is that there is quitea bit of paper writing unfortunately it’s a graduate thing because i attended atraditional program before transferring to usa and it was exactly the same. -yes i am doingthe online program, visiting the college depends on your specialty, for psy, weare required to visit once a year as from your second year. pls visit the link for details http://www.southalabama.edu/nursing/msn.html -yes the onlinetuition is the same as the in-state. -gre is notrequired. hope this helps. blessb

University of South Alabama MSN-FNP Program
hi blessed22, i like to congratulate you on being accepted into the program! i started my program summer 2011 and since then i have really liked it. the good thing i like with online is that i do not have to drive to class and taking excuses from work or switching shifts. anyway, the advice i have for you is to try to complete your assignment early do not wait until the last minute before turning it in because the school has a mandatory policy of checking students’ papers for plagiarism, there is a link called turnitin that you are expected to turn in your papers before submitting it to your instructor sometimes, it takes 24hrs or longer before you get a response from them (turnitin.com). there is quite a bit of writing in most of the classes, a lot is expected from you as a graduate student in terms of writing. as a student of usa, you have the privilege of using all available resources provided by the school to help you succeed. there is a writing lab/ writing tutors, they help to evaluate students’ paper only if you turn in your papers to them. they usually give you constructive feedbacks with 24hrs. make them your friend if you have problem with writing. feel free to contact me if you need more advice. i wish you all the best! blessb

University of South Alabama NP program
Hi flgirl57, it's a pity you had a terrible experience. I have been to 2 different schools for different Master program before starting here with USA . I can assure you that there is no one that is perfect just like we humans are not perfect. So we have to aim at what we want to achieve and move on with our lives and to the next level. Good luck. Blessb.

hi kayakoba, i know exactly how you feel because 8 yrs ago when i took my test i felt similar way. with california board of registered nursing, you should be able to know within 2 weeks or so if you check on their website http://www.rn.ca.gov/online_services/perm-verif.shtml and click on board's online license verification system type in your name and search. it will bring out your information if you made it. you can start trying one week after just in case. i wish you all the best. blessb
