  1. HI Fellow Nurses- Need your input & feedback. Having an interview with company next Monday that is involved in Healthcare Fraud and wanted to ask if anybody has worked in this area of healthcare? I have 7 years of clinical research background experience with my patient care experience too & the company said that my research experience would be very transferable for this type of position. Would truly appreciate any insight or feedback from this nursing group.-Thank-You!-Lisa
  2. Hi Enthused_Nurse2B- I just sent you a personal message thanking you for all your help & feedback & a few questions that I am curious about too. Thank you again!!!!-Lisa
  3. I am interested in getting my foot in the door (in an Administrative position) in the insurance field or a Healthcare company of any sort using my medical transferable skills. I want to work for any company out there where the employees enjoy working in a healthy, inspiring, positive, uplifting working environment, where you can be yourself, they train you for a position & don't throw you to the wolves, they want you to succeed in your position, there is collaborative team work, employees like to help other employees, & finally there is a "Family-like" Corporate Culture. I would be so grateful if I could find this type of corporate culture & I really don't care what the position is as long as its not patient hands on care. Please any IDEAS? IDEAS? IDEAS? Welcomed!-Thank-You-Lisa I would truly appreciate any brainstorming ideas from anybody out there.

Can we schedule an Informational Interview for 15 minutes of your time @ your convenience? I would really like to get your feedback & your recommendations about your nursing career journey. 10. Hi Been there done that- I have experienced the same symptoms since I got into the nursing field. Is there any way I could talk with you over the phone & get your feedback. I feel like I have a lot in common with you & I have got to find an escape plan to get totally out of bedside nursing for good. Mainly for my mental health & my daily state of mind. It's not worth it & you sound like you know where I'm coming from. It sounds like you have been smart enough to figure how to get out of this nich of nursing (bedside care). Could you please contact me & we can schedule a date & time to speak over the phone. I would truly love to hear what your escape plan was to jump ship. I've been trying to jump ship for years & I would love to speak to somebody who has jumped ship. It sounds like you did. GOOD FOR YOU! P.S. I'm the nurse who asked you about the company you are working for called Aerotek. I just signed up with them & my recruiter at Aerotek wanted to know the name of the position that you have with this big health insurance company. The recruiter here in Atlanta is trying to place me with an Insurance company like you did. Would truly appreciate all your help & support!!! Sincerely- Lisa

  12. Hi Kat_everdeen- Thank you for your reply. I truly appreciate all your help! How do I research these type of companies that hire employees to review car insurance claims? What is this type of position called? What about big car insurance companies? Do they hire these type employees? Did you hate this job? Can you refer me to any nurses who worked with you at this company? Aren't these nurses certified in Disability insurance? If you were me what would you do to research this area of nursing? Thanks Again!- Lisa
  13. Hi 08RNGrad- Thank you for your reply. truly appreciate all your feedback. Can you refer me to anyone working in research? Have you worked in research in some capacity? Where would you begin this searching adventure? Do you know of any contracting agencies I could look up? I live in the Atlanta, GA. area. What would you do if you were me? Thanks for helping me!-Lisa
  14. Hi Fellow Nurses out there in cyberspace- Need your help! Please put your minds together & brainstorm some great employment opportunities that are out there for me that maybe I just don't know about. Nursing was never a good healthy fit for me as a career. Had absolutely no idea what I was actually getting into when I got my nursing degree & it was my own fault & my own stupid impulsive decision. Did all kinds of patient-care nursing roles: hospital, nursing homes, assisted living, home health, pediatrics, clinics, doctors offices, methadone clinic. None of the patient care roles were a good fit for me because I'm not wired to be a personal care giver type person. I enjoy helping people but in an indirect way not in their personal space. For example, I loved my administrative positions as a Research Nurse coaching patients through the steps of a clinical trial but research is an unstable field due to grant funding. There has got to be a good fit out there for me some where using my transferable skills in some nontraditional administrative role under the medical umbrella thats not too stressful. Where are the happy employees who have a Nursing back ground working? What types of employment roles are they doing? I want to find another nich out there which is similiar to my last research coordinator position or something totally out of the box. I am wide open to any career options out there which would appreciate my medical back ground & would really enjoy having me on board. Are there any such companies out there where employees truly enjoy coming into work every day? I just want to work for a good company to get my benefits & where there is a healthy corporate culture & the company needs my skills. How can I make LEMONADE out of my career history? Also, looking for stable work not prn or contract work where I don't get any benefits. Would love to get your great ideas. -Thank you- Lisa
