Hi everyone... I am in the middle of selling my house and am relocating. Can you tell me how long and anything about the monitoring program in Tenn, Ga, Fla or NC. I am just wondering if they are shorter then the one I am in which is 5 years. Also if any of them are more helpful then the other. Thanks for your support. I am going through all the hoops here in VA but I really would like a new start somewhere else.

wow faith, thank you so much. I definatly would like to talk to you. I have to get to 15 posts to be able to PM you. I am actually thinking that if I move to a bigger city like richmond I will also have better luck finding a job with an understanding nursing home or dialysis center. I appreciate any advice that you can give me. I signed my contract with HPMP but have not gone to the orientation part of it yet. Can you tell me what to expect?

Thank you both for your post. This whole thing really makes you feel alone. I did find out that there are no charges being filed. That is a big relief. I have been trying to find a job anyway and have not had any luck at all. I am in the monitoring program through the state. I am hoping that I dont have to wait too long to go back to work. I have a decided to sell my house since I will probably lose it soon anyway. Not sure what will happen next. But I will keep you informed. Thanks for all the caring comments!

I guess the reason I am so upset about the house mainly is because it had belonged to my mother. She left it to me when she passed away. I have a small mortgage on it. And of course my car. Without that I cant get a job. I am looking hard to find one. Outside of nursing of course. I still haven't met with the detective yet but I have started counseling and turned in my app to the monitoring program. So now I'm playing the waiting game. But I'm trying to think positive. I know now that I have been clean for 2 months and I probably couldn't have done it on my own. I do thank you all for your support!!

Thank you Veggieeater. I will check them out. I am enrolling in a monitoring program here. I am waiting to start meetings next week. I am so happy that I found this site and knowing that I am not alone. I will keep you posted on how things are going.

Thanks Mel. and you are right, I am scared to death. I dont know how I am going to get through this. I know I will never go back to where I was. I am worried about losing everything, house, car etc. I appreciate everyones posts.

I was just wondering, when applying for jobs outside of healthcare do you need to disclose that you are in a monitoring program?

Thanks Jack and All over. I will be sure to get get the liablility insurance when i am able to work as a nurse again. Hopefully, I will never have to use it. I am very greatful for all your support and will keep you posted on how things go.

Thanks jack and txrn. Does a public defender do just as good as a private paid attorney? I have never had to do anything like this before so I am just very scared. Thanks for the support!!!

Thank you. I sure will. I wish I was able to commit all of my time to my recovery but I am about to lose my house and car etc. I am very scared. I keep waiting for the police to knock on my door. I am trying to arrange a meeting with the detective. I am hoping that will help.

Thank you Mona, I am in VA. It will be hard to even get hired at McDonalds etc. They all do back round checks. But no matter what I will never allow myself to go through this again. I am praying daily and trying to get into 12 step meetings. I will beat this! Thank you for your prayers.

Thanks for your replies. I was reported to BON and also to authorities. Already had investigation. Unable to afford attorney. I havent worked in over a month now. I am enrolling in monitoring program. I am more worried about the legal aspects as well as finding a job and ofcourse my recovery. I live in a very rural area so there arent many jobs here. I guess I am just looking for moral support.

Hi all, I am really glad I found this website. I was feeling so alone. Was fired for diverting and am losing everything I have. I am starting with counseling and finding meetings. I feel so stupid about what I did. I know I have a looooooooooooong journey ahead of me. Any support is very welcome. You all are great!
