So, you are going to start upper level nursing in February? That's really cool. Are you going to do it part time?

It's been great. It's hard to believe that we have been RNs for almost a year now. I started taking some classes part time at NorthLake again. I am also a TWU student now, but I start taking classes there in January. I am thinking about patho that I need for upper level nursing. So, it's been busy and I feel like a sometime. How is your schedule?

What food do you have at Zale? I have wanted to try something there but I don't know what you have. I am still a fan of Parkland's burrito and I have found out that the medschool has Taco Bell. Any Mexican food at Zale?

Somebody told me that nobody dies in the OR... -------------------------------- Mysterious, L&D and PP are really different, indeed. I've never wanted to do L&D because it's critical care, as you wrote it's women's emergency. I am sure you are learning a lot in L&D that you can use later if you decide to change specialty. Are you interested in going back to school? We have many midwives who deliver low risk moms.:bby:

About the book: You can just go to a library and read an older version, it's almost the same as I rememeber. How are the internships going for you recent graduates? And when are you going to be on your own?

There is an information packet here: http://www.elcentrocollege.edu/Programs/HealthLegalStudies/adn/default.asp If you have a near perfect GPA on the prereqs you can get in fast. If not you can retake some classes and apply again next semester. Good luck.

Yes, summer is busy time and we all are working overtime. Then winter is slower and we get cancelled shifts. Today I have seen new nurses going for general orientation. That means that we have been out for 6 months already? Why do I still struggle starting an IV??? :chuckle

Funny, I am going to congratulate you in two days. I didn't have time to write this week because we have been really busy in June. I have actually picked up my second 16 hour shift this week. Good luck, Mysterious.

How is studying going? Have any of you read the tips from the Kaplan book? As I remember there are only a few (200?) questions in the book but the tips are great. Before I took the big test I went to a bookstore and read the tips. It can be done it two days. Good luck, you all are almost there.

I don't know what % I made on NCLEX, it's a pass or fail test. I did use Saunders among other books but I neved counted points or %. I was too nervous to do that. I just did at least 100 questions a day and reviewed answers. How is your studying going?

I don't know any of them, either. Are you interested in any of the hospitals? Do you want to do a preceptorship? Good luck, Katie
