  1. Hi RNVampire, I can't send Pms as yet
  2. Thank you so much for all this info:yeah: I interviewed but have not heard back from them as yet....it's been 5 days, yeah I pressed. But after reading another user's comment about hearing back from them in a couple of days, I feel as though I am in a slump. any advice?
  3. So do we just sit around and hope they choose us?
  4. But what happens when a hospitals are not hiring? I too choose nursing for the versatility and would prefer to work in a hospital...i dont care how long the shift is or working holidays...nursing is just something i have always wanted to do...but I have had a few recruiters tell me get some med/surg experience...and im sitting here thinking to myself but im applying to a med/surg floor.
  5. i honestly dont even know why mother/baby was there...they said they only had one position open and would fill it in internal 1st if they could.
  6. OMG they are looking at New Grads and experienced...They say they have limited positions, and that they don't even know how many positions they have. Mother/Baby only had one opening. So its New Grads vs experienced nurses and about a 100 resumes. I got so frustrated there, because I felt there were not alot of opportunities to stand out. I think they just invited everyone who applied.
  7. Okay. Thank you so much. Maybe we will work together in the future if all goes well :)
  8. Hi thy for letting me know what to expect. How soon after you interviewed with them did you hear back? And did you do anything extra like call them or send them a thank you card?
  9. I recieved an invite for this as well. I dont know what to expect or if they will be interviewing on site.
  10. Thank you so much. This really helps. Hopefully the one in Atlanta does not close. There is too much need for it to do so.
  11. Hello I live in GA and was wondering what would I expect as a New Grad Psych nurse @ a state hospital....? Thanks!
  12. I have just been called in for an interview at the state psych hospital. I am actually pretty excited to start and do hope to learn alot (new grad). As far as I know they are hiring everywhere that is not closed...It's really easy to apply, but because of the uncertainty facing many state funded institutions, I would apply here and elsewhere. Many hospitals have psych wards.
  13. Thank you for all the advice. I'm actually making notes :) Anyone have any information about this hospital in particular?
  14. I'm so sorry to hear that. If that has been resolved, maybe the best thing to do is give it A shot again.
  15. A four year university may allow you to take a class...there may be extra fees. The good thing about those is that you can research the professors...ratemyprofessor...because more people participate. The thing is...is it the class, the professor, or you?
  16. Hello all. I am new to the nursing forums. I have just been called for an interview at Georgia Regional, and was wondering what is it like to work there? I'm still a new grad so if you can include details about training and salary that would help. Thanks!
