Nursing Student but i think i sorta have a mental issue?
Thanks so much for ur input. I'm not seeking any medical advise and do not intend to sue anyone either. I'm just so LOST and confused! I don't want to throw all my hard work and studying away only to be rejected my license. I don't have anyone to turn to, except for school and well I can't talk to them about it if it may interfere with my licensing or getting accepted in clinicals. Sigh.. I wish I knew where to get help.. I'm thinking church maybe? Thanks again hun

Nursing Student but i think i sorta have a mental issue?
I think not eating makes me feel somewhat in control as bad as that sounds. I feel that at the end of the day all I have is me and this body, that I can do whatever I want to it. I am 130lbs at 5'4 and ever since I was 11 I have been 'dieting' to lose weigh,I'm now 21yrst. I went thru a secretive cycle of eating a lot of food and then puking it since I 'did bad' on my diet.about a year ago but then stopped and severely restricted which got me down to 110lbs. I feel so ashamed and embarrased about all this.I am in college to be an RN and honestly I can't seek help since getting a license also depends on my psychiatric history. I want to get better, I want a healthy normal relationship with food. I just don't know where or how to fix all this. I don't have any other issues like drinking, smoking etc nor under any prescrib meds. Lately, I have mounting financial problems bc I don't get much support from my single mom who has been divorced frm my dad since I was 10 and fulltime college stress that I have been living of a pot of coffee, water and some tea. I have lost my appetite, its like a switch and I workout to rejoice in the lightheadedness. I want to get better, my weight is going down, I have been avoiding my friends.. I stay in my room and cry. Please help.. Thx

Pot Smoking and Nursing
What is wrong with weed anyways? I mean if a nurse works 3 days out of the week, its up to her or him to do whatever they wish on their off days! Being a hippie is so cool lmbo! I think you should take a hit or two and not be bothered!

Working as a Nurse in another Country
Well Im a nursing student, still deciding if im gonna get my BSN or just ADN. Anyway, I have family in Mexico in the suburbs, and in China who are in the medical field. (my grandma is a chinese immigrant) Would it be better to get some experience outside the country and then try to apply for a job in the states, I live in Texas? Any thoughts?

ADN or BSN (TWU) @ Collin county
Hello Everyone! Well im trying to get some feedback as to which program I want to get into now. This Summer 2011 i will finish 3 out of 4 major pre req's for the ADN Program and I already have most of the supporting credits for it also. I heard CCCD is not the best? I dont know? I would LOVE to be a PA! That being said, I am really aiming for a BSN with TWU @ CCCD but money is the issue. Me and my mom have been paying for tuition and books out of pocket for the past 3 semesters and we just dont have the money anymore. Besides my savings have been depleted and cannot hold a decent job since I am a full time student. Should i just do the ADN, get into the workforce then bridge to a BSN? Or just go straight for a BNS? Any luck with scholarships with Methodist or any places like that? Well im also trying to network! and get into the field as a PCT or front desk at a Dr's Office! I have sent out, a million resumes/CL's, filled out more than a dozen applications, worked with a temp agency all to no avail! im 21yrs old, I have 5 years of retail and general office/admin experience. No criminal, Great references, Bilingual. Thanks and have a great day everyone!

Nursing Student, ADN or BSN? im about to quit
Hello everyone! Im new to this forum. Well I would really love to be a nurse! I am 21, and first of all i am still thinking if I want to do ADN then bridge to a BSN or just get my BSN now?? Im with Collin County Comm College in Mckinney TX. Any suggestions? Money is an issue... Also, I live in the Allen/Plano area and have been looking to get my foot in the door as a Patient Care tech in a hospital or front office at a doctor's office but its SO HARD! Any suggestions? I have been networking, and i have applied to many many jobs online via craigslist, monster jobs and at hospitals direct online application with no luck. I email my cover letter and resume in the most professional manner to at least 5 job posts every weekday. Everyone requires experience or the very few who ask if im almost done with my clinicals, which i have neither.I point out that i am a nursing student. I only have general office experience, retail, no gaps and have been with my employers for at least 1 year. Great references. No criminal whatsoever. Im very frustrated since i have no job at all, much less in the medical field. im about to quit schoolc Thanks alot!!
