  1. I have my appointment tomorrow too. Adf96, it's a small world! Do you have a class with her?
  2. I know someone who received a rejection letter. But she applied through the HCA Grow Your Own program. She had to submit application packets to both, so I'm not sure if Collin or HCA makes the admission decisions. But so far, she is the only one I know who received an actual rejection letter. I've heard friends saying they know people who have anywhere from 11 points & made a 2 on the PSB to those who have 15 points, maxed the PSB & have prior degrees...all made the wait list. I also heard the Nursing dept told someone that only 50 were placed on the wait list. Seems unlikely to me, because everyone I know was waitlisted.
  3. I am also on the wait list for Collin's Fall 2011 semester. I have an appointment on Wednesday to find out where I am on the list. Do you know where you are on the list? It seems like almost everyone I know was wait listed.
  4. Waitlisted too..... I'll find out where I fall on the list next week. I am beginning to consider apply for BSN programs & doing away the AN.
  5. Did you end up with 14 or 15? With 3 A's and a C in the overall GPA, wouldn't that be a 3.5 or 2 points?
  6. :yeah:Congratulations!! So exciting! My mail came today...but no letter! Ugh
  7. Dagsmom, can I ask where or who you heard that from? Is the Nursing dept staff in the office this week? I so wish they would just come already!! Thanks for reminding me about summer registration! With Micro and my other classes, that completely flew past my radar!! I need to get on that. I am considering taking Chemistry in the long summer semester. Anyone ever attempted it or have any thoughts/advice?
  8. I'm beginning to wonder if they have even mailed the letters!
  9. My friend called and they told her to look for the letters around Spring Break or just after. It's driving me crazy!!
  10. :yeah:Yes, CONGRATULATIONS on getting in!! I can only imagine how excited you are! Please do share any advice or knowledge you can with us. I am also completing Micro this semester. I was encouraged to go ahead and apply by the Nursing Program staff when I received my PSB scores. A guy in one of my classes last semester had applied and was accepted w/out completing one pre-req and one co-req. He was also starting in January and said about half of the January class had 14's. I guess there must have been quite a few 15's who didn't accept or couldn't start. He told me being a resident of Collin County and your PSB score holds a lot of weight. At this point, all I can do is like you said, concentrate on Micro and wait to see what happens. Good luck, ckey, on beginning the program and dagsmom, in Micro. I start class on Wednesday. I hope we both will have good news soon!
  11. hello i turned in my application packet earlier this week. the deadline is jan. 31st, so i should know sometime towards the end of feb. it is a point based system using gpa and psb scores. is anyone else is applying at collin county in mckinney, tx? good luck to everyone!
  12. Where did you graduate from, Corky?
  13. Hello I was just wondering who else is applying for the Fall 2011 start at Collin County in McKinney! Do you guys know how many applied & what the minimum amount of points was for the last term? What are your stats? (if you don't mind sharing!) Are you applying anywhere else? What school is your first choice? I have 14 points. I am applying without one pre-req and received 6 points from the PSB. If I don't get accepted this time, I am hopeful for Spring 2012! Good luck to everyone! P.S. If anyone who is in the program or been in the program, has any tips to share, that would be great!!
