hello everyone, does anyone knows the name of the agency that hires for rikers island jail in nyc? and do you know if they take lpn with 6 months experience. i am trying so hard to get a job as a new grad lpn in nyc since i got my license last year, but everyone wants experience. i don't know where i am going to get it from if no one hires me. so now one of my last hope is to go into corrections. thanks in advance.

Hello, I went to Lincoln Tech in Paramus NJ, I got my LPN from there. I was one of the first evening classes so they didn't really have their stuff in order, put has the semesters progress, they started to get better. Clinical was every other wknd, and I was going Mon & Wed. I think you should give it a try.

Hello nurse.sandi You can move to Bklyn, you can definitely get a job once you have the experience, there is a lot of opportunities here for you, so do some research but I'm pretty sure you will be fine. Now I'm thinking about moving to another state. I am now looking for bridge programs from LPN to RN. Gd luck hun.

Hello Everyone, I got my NY LPN license in 12/2010, and still looking for work. Everywhere I apply to they are requesting that you have at least 1yr experience. I don't know how I am suppose to get it if no one will hire me. Do anyone know of anywhere that is hiring new grad LPN? Really appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello everyone, I just got my medicaid provider number today and was wondering how to go about getting cases. I called the office that issued the number and they was very rude when I asked about how to get cases. Can anyone help on how to start getting cases? I'm only working per diem now and need to work some more hours. Thx for your help in advance.
