  1. Yea I know. I'll take a break for a month or so before I start studying all over again. But for the rest of you guys who are still studying for the exam, I wish you all the best, God bless!
  2. i got about 10 of those SATA's then 3 of those put in order, 8 of those meds. calculations and the rest were prioritization, assessment and meds. S/E. I really don't know what to expect, I tried the PVT but it led me the credit card section so I guess I failed.
  3. Just took the Nclex an hour ago, after 75 questions the computer screen turned to blue. I was like whaaaat??? I was expecting to get more than 75 questions.:-(
  4. I'm taking the test tomorrow, super anxious! I went to the testing center early this morning just to be familiar with the directions and so as the parking area.
  5. I am taking the test the same day as you are. I feel the same way too. I've been doing lots of questions, like yesterday I did 200 and today I'm planning to do the same. It is really driving my anxiety level at the top.
  6. I am doing 75-100 questions per day.
  7. @Anne36: In my own opinion I would say Saunders' questions are easier than Kaplan. I have read the kaplan book from cover to cover, answered questions both book and cd. When are you taking the nclex?
  8. am getting anxious, I'm testing on Tuesday next week (July 17). I've been doing questions on Saunder's and Nclex 3500, and so far I am getting 70-80+% on the tests. What else can y'all suggest for me to do?
  9. I am using Saunder's 5th edition, Im doing the questions on the website they provided with the book, 50-100 questions per day. My scores now are on the 80's so far.
  10. And oh! I also downloaded the kaplan audio review. I listened to it whenever I'm driving to and from work. It has divided topics and I guess it is pretty helpful.
  11. I'm taking Nclex on July 17...for review materials I have 2011-2012 Kaplan NCLEX Rn strategies, practice and review, Mosby's nclex-rn review made incredibly easy, saunders q & a 4th edition and I'm also doing nclex 4000. Also, I keep surfing this site for mnemonics and some other tips in studying.
  12. Well, good for you! I did not take the licensure exam back in Phils. cause I am a U.S citizen. Prc won't allow me to take it. It is part of their regulations that only Filipino citizens will be allowed to take it. P.S: Stop being critical to other people's grammar. u r a nurse be therapeutic at least.
  13. I am a BSN graduate from the Philippines and currently residing in Dallas, TX. I applied for Credential Evaluation Service (CES)- Professional report with CGFNS, I want to be license in Texas and CES is one of their requirements. I have already submitted all the requirements. Last week I received a letter from the CGFNS regarding my License Validation form, they mentioned that they received it from the licensing authority in the Philippines but they did not accept it because it doesn't have my professional title which is because I did not took the nursing licensure exam in the Philippines. I was wondering if they could still push through with the credential evaluation even without the license validation form? Please help... what should I do?
  14. I've tried calling them and sending them an e-mail, but they are very firm about the psychiatric nursing thingy. Next month I'm going to file another application here in Texas.
  15. Thanks to all who responded on my post. I'm going to call the TX BON so I can make things clear on what would be the best thing to do.
  16. I'm planning to work in Texas. I do not meet certain requirements in TX BRN like for example for International nursing graduates they would require at least 1 year experience as a registered nurse in the country where you graduated and in my case I do not have any experience as a nurse in the Philippines that is my first concern why I did not apply in TX.
  17. I'm a U.S immigrant, currently residing in the state of Texas. I completed my Nursing degree in the Philippines last April 2010 and last January 2011 I forwarded my application to CA- BRN, I chose to apply in CA rather than in TX cause CA-BRN has lesser requirements compared to TX- BRN. And so, on March 2011 I received a letter from CA-BRN stating that upon their evaluation I did not meet the minimum no. of hours they required in Psychiatric Nursing and they want me to take up the Psychiatric nursing course in one of the schools in CA., they will give me 3 years from the date that they sent me the letter to finish the Psychiatric Nursing course, after 3 years they will destroy all my records. I was thinking it would surely take time, because then I need to apply in one of the Nursing schools in CA. plus it would be another a financial burden (school expenses and other stuffs) and to think with this kind of economy the U.S is facing right now I don't think I or my parents can still afford to spend money for school. I'm thinking of applying NCLEX in another state like FLorida. Anyone who can give me idea on how to start or the series of steps in applying NCLEX in Florida? Thanks!

  19. Does the company that you work for offer a free training to be a dialysis technician? I'm also planning on jumping from CNA to dialysis tech. and I live in Dallas. I just pass the CNA evaluation last month though. What can you suggest for me? thanks!

  21. I am a graduate nurse from the Philippines and supposedly I was going to take the NCLEX last April but then I had trouble with my application, the CA-BRN wants me to take up the Psychiatric Nursing course cause according to their evaluation I did not meet their required no. of hours in Pscychiatric nursing. So since I'm very much eager to find a job related to Nursing, I pursue a CNA training program last month and successfully passed the evaluation tests and now I would like to train as a Dialysis Technician, does anyone here knows a school in Dallas that offers a training as a dialysis technician?
  22. I am having the same trouble too. I graduated from Cebu, Phils. on April 2010. I applied to CA-BRn last Jan. 2011 and on March 2011 I received a letter from the stating that I need to take up the Psychiatric Nursing course in one of the schools in CA. I live in Dallas right now. I have sent an e-mail to CA-BRN bit I haven't received any response. How's your case going?
  23. Hi! I'm a graduate nurse from the Philippines, I just graduated last April 2010 and did not took the licensure exam in Phils.. I'm a permanent resident here in the U.S and I applied for NCLEX in California last January 2011, on February 2011 I received a letter from the CA-BON that they want me to write an explanation letter why I don't have a Nursing license and so I wrote them a letter saying that I look to pursue my nursing career in California. And just now March 16, 2011 I received a letter from the CA-BON saying that : AN EVALUATION OF MY APPLICATION FOR LICENSURE AS A REGISTERED NURSE IN CALIFORNIA INDICATES THAT MU NURSING EDUCATION DOES NOT MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN PSYCHIATRIC NURSING. THEORY AND PRACTICAL MUST BE TAKEN CONCURRENTLY. IN ORDER TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT, IT WILL BE NECESSARY FOR ME TO MAKE UP THIS COURSE, BOTH THEORY AND CLINICAL PRACTICE, IN AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL NURSING IN CALIFORNIA. I don't really understand why this has happened, i have schoolmates who also applied for CA-BON but they did not have any problems. They took the NCLEX with no hassles at all. Please help me.
