Study the barkley book, it was very helpful

I took the ANCC exam on the 16th of January and passed the first time, its not too bad. I went to a Barkley review and felt very prepared for the exam after following all his tips.

Don't get down on yourself yet...The deadline to accept for the fall is the 22nd and I know of at least one spot that will be opening up!

I agree, its not the school it is how you apply the education to the practice. :)

1. Name the school you will be attending UAH 2. Degree you will be working on (including specialty) Acute Care 3. Whether you will be working full time or part time or quit Full Time 4. Will you be attending school part time or full time Full Time Excited and Nervous!!! Hoping I chose the right school.

Congrats to everyone! I called yesterday to discuss the class schedule and am awaiting the return phone call. I was going to ask about the Part time rumor - if I hear anything I will post it.

I'm not surprised, I bet they had a lot of apps - still graduate spring 2014 or fall of 2012.... I have taken 3 grad courses so the PT schedule for UAB is realllllly PT for me. I hope everyone gets in that applied on here!!!!

Acute care- I got accepted to part time so I think I am going to go to the other university that accepted me as full time. I'm kinda bummed, I really wanted to go to UAB. Good luck everyone!

No letter for me today... I would put a sad face, but I think I actually decided to attend the other University I was accepted to , so I am actually feeling ok. Good luck to everyone! I hope that those pesky letters come soon!

Thanks for the info. I find this very frustrating. Communication with the applicants could of avoided all of this! Glad the wait is almost over!

I agree - I am over this! Ridiculous!

Got home from my trip yesterday....No letter yet....I am starting to think I need to proceed with the University that has already accepted me. I am in advanced patho at UAB right now as a non-degree seeking student and am having issues with communication from instructors and technical issues. Regardless - I would still like the letter in hand! It seems quite ridiculous that any University would wait this long!

Anybody get letters yet? I'm out ofvtown so I won't be able to check until late next week. Torture.

I didn't ask, but I would assume this week for them to be hitting mailboxes next week......YIKES! Its going to be a rough and long week! - I bet some will see a response in the mail late this week - The other school I applied to over estimated their turn around time to avoid phone calls, I would expect this is a common practice. UAB said the board was meeting next week and we would know by the first week in July...

I'm still waiting for UAB too......hopefully we will hear something soon! (but I doubt it)
