  1. Not yet. Still searching.
  2. I put all of my hard work into nursing school and finished the whole nursing program including clinicals. However, the only option to passed the program is to passed HESI or ATI exit. Long make it short. You don't get know what type of exam you will be getting until the day you take the exam. This got me freaking out because I don't know what to focus. HESI and ATI questions are totally different from each other. This is why I fail because of anxiety built up. I hope no one ever have to go to any school that only rely on one exam to determine if you pass or fail nursing. I passed my NCLEX first time to prove the school that I have the knowledge and skills to become a nurse. Now I try to apply to public school to repeat my LPN to RN program all over because I believe in myself that I can do it. Just because the school scam me. I don't have to be a victim. Mistake happens, I just need to moving forward. Anyone who is in my situation please don't give up. Keep moving forward ?
  3. I did try to take the exit exam from the school but I didn't passed. School HESI requires 80 percentage to pass and I got 79. They want me to repeat the whole program. If it would you...will you start the program from the beginning and repeat the exit exam with the fear you may or may not passed the exit by 1 point?
  4. Do you know if the school has exit exam prior to graduate?
  5. Anyone know good program online accredited school for RN to BSN?
  6. Hi all, I plan to attend LPN to RN program at Galen nursing school in Saint Petersburg Anyone know anything about their exit exam and grading system. please advise.
  7. I did file complaint but nothing they can do for me since I sign the contract with the school policy. I didn't know what to expect from the beginning. Never ever again I will go to any private school. Please read the school contract carefully before you start any private nursing program.
  8. I guess every school graded HESI scores differently. I scores 905 on HESI and school covert my scores to 79.2.
  9. I know exactly what you are talking about. I am feel the same way as you. Jersey school in Tampa don't want to prepare us for our real exam and expecting us to pass. We just go by luck ....if you out of luck, you are on your own...they don't give a *** a bout us. ...excuse my language but that how I feel. The Florida commission told me that they will save my complaints for future record when they audit the school. I encourage everyone should file complaint to Florida educational commissioner so they can see this is ongoing issues with the school. School took our money and careless about help us to achieve our goal.
  10. What is your next step may I asked?. If you find any solution please give us update. Thanks. I try everything but come back with no solution. As you already see my update. I hope the nursing commission can do something to stop this school from using exit exam to prevent student graduate. It is sad to hear more student in the same situation like me. This new rule only applies to New Jersey state not in Florida. I hope Florida board of nursing can applied the same as New Jersey board of nursing. This way all student get opportunity to graduated. Don't ever let they think if you can't pass exit exam. You can't pass NCLEX. NCLEX is much easier than school exam. Did the school give you options to start long audit program?
  11. Updated Jersey college demand that I have to repeat long audit which I refused therefore they withdraw me from school. Now I left with nothing. They use their policy and agreement that was sign by me to support their documents. Be aware don't be like me, read the whole policy before you sign up with school. If I can turn back the time I wish I will never attend jersey college...they will not go extra miles for you....is all about money....so be careful. I wish that no one will never be in this situation. I have some of student from Jersey college contacted me and asking for help. But there is nothing I can do or advise them since we are in the same situation. I am giving up with this school. I am hoping with this post will help future nursing student choose better nursing school before signing up.
  12. Deelovely, I think is better for you to write a letter to the education commissioner file complaint about the school. That's way they will do their own investigation on school. I did write mine. Same thing happen in New York where Jersey college operates the same way and the New York education commissioner issues school to stop using HESI as a way holding students from graduate due to many complaints files against school. Together we can make some changes.
  13. Yes. I agreed with you. Lawyer would not help. I did try to reach out to school and asking for owner but they won't release any information to me. I was told by the school after failing my HESI. They reach out to the president of the school and was told by the president that since I pass the NCLEX they give me another chance to retake the whole nursing program. That's is not a choice for me. I have no choice but to write a letter to commissioner and if it not work out I will be sending letter to ACEN.
  14. I did send a letter to Florida education commissioner. I will send letter to ACEN as well. Thanks for your advise. I will keep you post it.
  15. I just want student out there to know my story before signing up with Jersey college. They have multiple locations in Florida and new Jersey as well. So please be aware... I just want student out there to know my story before signing up with Jersey college. They have multiple locations in Florida and new Jersey as well. So please be aware...
  16. For future student. please check out the school first before you attempt to sign up with their nursing program. You might be end up like me. I use to think HESI would not be that hard if I get through the nursing program. But one test get to determine mine 18months of all the sweat and hard work with tears . That's hard to swallow especially if you are A or B student throughout the program. Not only that it effect my financial status and confident as a nurse.
  17. By the way, their NCLEX prep is a joke. They have us practice on Kaplan NCLEX questions daily. But in the end we were given HESI exam or ATI. We don't get to know what type of exam they will be given until the day of the exam. As you know, many school prepare their student throughout the program with similar type of exam they will be taken toward the end whether is HESI or ATI. This school doesn't do that. Throughout the program most of our exam questions were make up by the school instructor from corporate. Our instructor don't get to see the question either. Sometimes students find their mistakes and were told they will review and determine whether we should get our point back because the question is unclear or multiple answer to that question according to our textbook. To make it worst we don't get to review which questions we got wrong. We receive scores for our grade and move on with our life. No questions to ask. If you ask to review they will tell you sorry we can't show you because they afraid student will cheat. We only get to see the top 10 questions missed from the exam in general not individual . The school made their rule and we have no choice but to follow it. I always compliance with school policy. But I can't believe this is what happened to me in the end. I have so much believe in school that they will do whatever it takes to make their student success. I love all mine nursing instructors. Is just corporate that run the school system. Some of my instructors want to help me but there is nothing they can do because is school policy which I never see it written that student can reveal their grade.
  18. To answer your question I transfer most of my credit to unaccredited school and able to pass NCLEX. Because the school was not accredited that's why I went back to Jersey and want to do remediation so that I can get diploma from Jersey. I paid so much money and spend so much time at Jersey college. I hate to walk away with nothing. I passed all remediation class above 80 percent and still they want me to take HESI knowing that I already passed NCLEX first time. I took the HESI exam close to passing and still not enough for them. They want me to repeat the whole program. I feel that the school have no support and careless about their student. I feel that if I passed NCLEX there is no point to make me take the HESI exam. Understand the HESI use to determine your chance of passing NCLEX. On top of that they were using the HESI together with the leadership class which I never told that would be part of deal. If you fail HESI meaning you fail the leadership class. That's is not fair for me or any other students. Since they were too many complaints about exit exam. Now the school change their program and has leadership class separately from HESI exit exam. I am frustrated and angry because I feel that the school only care about money. After they took all my money they don't even care to work with me so that I can pass and move on with my life. What else I have to prove to school besides passing NCLEX first try. I not talking bad about school but if you were in my shoes you will feel the same way. I never give up on school but they sure give up on me. I tried to reach out to school and receive no response from the school.
  19. I appreciate your concerns. I am not only speaking for myself but for a lot of students who is in the same situation like me. What's the point of us taken multiple classes and get all the training throughout nursing school but only one exam get to define if you going to be a nurse. Some people are not good test taken and get anxiety build up but that doesn't mean they not going to passed the NCLEX. HESI scores does help determine how well you do on the NCLEX but that doesn't mean not passing school HESI exam will determine you not going to pass NCLEX. Most school requires higher scores than actual HESI required. I hate to see students fail to be a nurse just base on one exam. Especially in a time that we need nurses the most.
  20. I missed HESI passing grade by 1 point doesn't mean I am not able to pass NCLEX. That's what the school want to make you think if you can't passed HESI then you can't pass NCLEX.....
  21. I passed my NCLEX first try and I fail HESI
  22. To answer your question. I completed 100 % of nursing program from other school except the exit exam. Carleen school has the program called 80%. That's just how they define their courses. It doesn't mean that I didn't finished the whole nursing program. If you want to know what happened to the 20%. Feel free to call the school and ask them directly. . The school accepted all my credit from previous nursing program and the only thing we require to take is NCLEX review course. That's all I know.
  23. Hi, anyone know what to do if you fail exit exam from Jersey college in Tampa? I have a friend told me to write complained to department of independent education to let them know. I finished the whole nursing program including clinicals and was holding back from graduated due to fail HESI exit exam.
