  1. Hello Everyone, I'm a new LVN grad in Los Angeles California and recently received my license. I've been job hunting for a couple weeks now and haven't been able to find a job that does not require previous experience. I was thinking of possible contacting medical clinics in my area and sending them my résumé. Would this be a good idea? I'm currently employed but not in the medical field. I don't want all this tuition money to go to waste so even a part time job to gain experience would be great. Any input?
  2. I'm wondering too! Just passed Nclex and wondering if I should get a few certifications for higher pay.
  3. I know the feeling, just hang in there and keep busy. It'll arrive in no time.
  4. Thanks! I used Kaplan, Saunders, Exam Cram and Nclex 3000. Practiced well over 3000 questions before the exam.
  5. Hello everyone! Just wanted to share my happiness and accomplishment of Nclex. I took my exam on 5/10 and just received my results 05/28! It was the longest two weeks since California does not participate in quick results!
  6. Oh okay. I'm actually in Los Angeles and looking for a program out here. Hope it's going well for you.
  7. Hi, I'm also in Cali. Recently took my exam and got the good pop up. Waiting for my official results. My advice is don't give up! I took two weeks off work, and cut off all contact with friends and family as well as any social media to concentrate on my self review. I did over 4k questions from Saunders, Exam Cram and Kaplan. I highly recommend Kaplan! Good luck and don't give up! You can do this.
  8. You're doing great! I uses the same materials, highly recommend Kaplan. I took the Nclex on May 10th and received the "good pop up". Still waiting for my results though. Before school recommended to do at least 3k-4k of practice questions before taking the Nclex which is what I did. Hopefully all my studying paid off. Best of luck to you! You can do it!
  9. I agree with the above poster. I listened to Hurst videos one week before taking my exam and really helped me understand a lot of the content. True, Nclex is not about memorizing but understand the why there are symptoms in order to select the correct answer. I used Kaplan for questions and it Nclex was just like it.
  10. Thank you so much for your insight! I literally sat in my car for about 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do next. I was unsure what to feel after I saw the pop up ?
  11. Thank you so much for your reply! I'm literally in tears right now! I really hope the trick works. I've continued to try for the last hour and still can't believe it. I will try to relax for now :)
  12. Hi guys, I just finished taking my Nclex exam, stopped at 85 and I'm following the directions for the pvt trick and getting the good pop up "Our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact the Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time" Is it to soon for the results?? I'm in California and don't participate in quick results. I honestly left like I failed. Had so many SATA questions.
  13. California is really back up right now. I also had to wait three months for my ATT.
  14. That's great! I was wondering about that. I was first scoring 56%-58% and my last scores have been 62%, 72%, and 64%. I'm scheduled to take my exam this Friday and feeling pretty nervous and unprepared on meds. How did you prepare for meds? It happens to be my weakest.
  15. I agree! I like Kaplan, it's a lot more challenging and really has you think about each answer.
  16. Yes, use the review mode.
  17. It's available to you for three months.
