Duke ABSN Fall 2011
To all waitlist candidates: You are all amazing, and I'm sending the most positive thoughts your way. I am not a member of the cohort, just the mom of a cohort member. When we were sweating it out, it really helped me to learn from you posts that those who applied to the program have integrity, kindness, stick-to-itive-ness, grace, and class. The entire waitlist crew deserves to be taken into the cohort; you have show incredible determination. Let me wish you all the best.

Just remember...we are grateful that the bad boyfriends don't marry us!

Duke ABSN Fall 2011
If I remember correctly, I think they offered 100 spots and got 92 takers for the spring. They usually hover around 70 in a cohort. I think they are still traumatized.

Go Vandy! Thx for answering. We know nothing about numbers. This has been the most secretive, dragged out, and painful experience. Since we never heard how many were chosen the first time; how many were eliminated after that; how many were parked in the second round pool; or how anyone in the second round pool ranked...they had all the cards all the time. I know they were burned by taking so many for the spring cohort; however, it seems to me that somehow the cohort for the fall has experienced undue "stuff."

Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011
lilly4emory: one more thing...georgia state schools do have a rip-off charge for out of state residents, so check out schools like mercer univ in the area

Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011
to lilly4emory: try any of the Georgia Perimeter College units...the campuses are sprinkled here and there...google for locations...whatever you do, apply now as they move slowly in admissions.

Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011
Still, TEAS nags at me. They have already viewed my GPA, college transcript, personal statement, and prerequisite grades. Which part of that, separately or collectively, doesn't give indication of my academic strengths. Are they trying to provide remediation opportunities for us? Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

Emory Accepted Students Fall 2011
Re: the TEAS...this was never mentioned in any info session or printed material...does anyone know if BSN students have had to take it in previous years? It's annoying since the acceptance email referred to no more standardized tests.
