Who here has encountered odd side effects from Benadryl IV? I am a Nurse and had been pushed with Benadryl IV (50mg). Not long after, I started to feel like an impending doom, my throat/mouth felt super dry and my tongue felt like it was pulled backward. Then I started to go into tachychardia like 170 to 180 bpm. The scariest part was I felt like I can't breathe. This lasted in waves for about 10 to maybe 15 mins. Scariest part of my life. I also found out that Promethazine has the same effect with me when I had CS laat year. Apparently, I can take it orally but not intravenously. Made me wonder, What can I take during an anaphylactic shock? (Feels like Epi will have the same effect like diphenhydramine).

Yes I know LPN is a nurse.. It's not a shame to work as an LPN.. What I meant is I can take a job offer as an LPN also. I won't mind because it's also an opportunity and an open door for me because from what I've read, it's hard to get registered, hired and be sponsored as an RN (bsn) in Canada. ?

Hi NataliaK, may i know the name of the agency? Like you I have been struggling to find a job here in the US, i wanted to move to Canada and start pursuing my career as a nurse. HI EVERYONE!!! I JUST WANT TO ASK. IM CONFUSED. IN OTHER FORUMS, THEY'VE SAID THAT SCHOOLS NOW ARE NOT DOING THE BRIDGING PROGRAM ANYMORE, WHILE SOME SAY THERE ARE STILL SCHOOLS THAT OFFER THE COURSE. WHICH IS TRUE? AND ALSO, WHO HAS ANY IDEA ABOUT SCHOOLS THAT STILL OFFER BRIDGING COURSES??? ~ PLS. ENLIGHTEN ME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
