WSSU's 2013 ABSN Program
It is now a requirement. My hypothesis is because they want to ensure that potential students know "how" to test. If you have strong SAT or ACT scores, it indicates that you have been successful with taking standardized exams. From what I have seen, Accelerated student NEED to have the top notch science scores. Even then, I've seen some not get accepted to the ABSN program, but were later accepted to the traditional program.

ABSN at WSSU
I took an online CHM class at Forsyth Tech and it was a great experience. Believe it or not, the labs were the toughest part of the class. Everything was done completely online, so it was very convenient. I took CHM 151, but I believe you can take CHM 131 PLUS the lab. I would suggest that you get a transfer of credits/course equivalency sheet from the Nursing Dept.

Carshell, I would highly recommend the Kernersville area. The school system is still Forsyth County, but they have very good ratings for the EOG's. In addition, you are able to select the school where you want your children to attend, and to my understanding, they will provide transportation if necessary. The only catch is that the school must have space available, which I haven't heard of an issue to date. For everyone: Intro to Prof Nursing I can be taken after all science requirements have been fulfilled. I have been told by word of mouth that Intro I can only be taken in the Fall unless you are actually in the Accelerated Prgm, but have not confirmed so I don't know how true that is.

ABSN at WSSU
Hi Barbara, Both Chm 131 and 151 with a lab are acceptable as transfer credits. There is a form in the Nursing building at WSSU that provides confirmation.
