Ya know..I was a bartender way before I became a nurse and ya it was fun..but it wasn't rewarding..I did alot of laughing and flirting and Shuting down someone's TAB..so hopefully they could drive home responsibly..But as a nurse it's a rewarding job..I lve. to go home knowing I gave some one 100% of my ability to hopefully make them well.. If it's the $$ take 1-2 classes a semester and get your RN..you maybe broke for awhile but in the long run you'll be happy that you stuck with your career.. Best of Luck..

I am a lpn and I had a travel position in Fl. paying 24.00 and they paid for all of my hsg/utili/ins. and perks..so look and sell yourself..There are so many comp. out there that will pay an RN more than 25.00 in Fl. Good Luck..

Ed, My family and I moved here 9/2003..and I can not wait to move again..The salary is the lowest paying in all job fields..as far as nursing also!! Baptist would be the better of the hospitals to go work for..I am there and the benefits are great..The other two that you named aren't nearly as nice..and the nurse ratio is alot better at Baptist..P'cola is so southern, not Florida to me..but it's all up to the person..
