Just got rejected again. So I have gotten in for MSW at USC California. It just boggles my mind I was not smart enough for nursing but had the grades to get a Masters instead. Go figure. Good Luck everyone.

Well for Fall there was a mass email sent out a week later that the review was underway. It took 2 months until people started hearing anything. It came through email from Fran.

Micro and Link Nursing took TEAS got 77. There is suppose to be a TEAS 6 on its way out this summer. TEAS is not hard just time consuming. I am not good at math so I bomb that one. Just know for reading main ideas and what an opinion is.

Chattahoochee Tech I was looking to apply there but I think they wanted some computer class and I just don't feel like taking anymore classes. And GPC doesn't offer that class. My GPA is 3.4 with 3.13 in sciences. TEAS 77.

The reason I was told, was that my Nursing GE requirement was over the normal qualification, but that it was a 2.8 and they didn't go below a 3.0 for choosing people. Because they had so many applications with such high GPA's for fall. But my overall is 3.4 so I don't know what this round will bring. I am applying for ADN not the bridge. So I know that they take 60 in the spring and 90 or so in the fall.

Hey keepmovinglpn, I reapplied for spring. I will be finished with everything this summer. I hope that they take lower GPA this is time. For fall they took 3.8 and above.

Are you a current student at Gordon. Because I think we have similar scores and GPA. When I called the nursing dept the lady that answered wouldn't tell me anyting concerning my GPA. Would like to know but because I am not a current student she was very rude and not helpful. How could I find out my GPA without attending the school. Had a 77 on TEAS

I agree it is like we are just paper to them so why should they care.

I hope so too Gordon is my last school that hasn't denied me. If they do I guess I will try for Spring. I only have Micro left. It just seems lately that all the schools are focusing on is GPA. If you are 3.8 or higher your in.

MG100 I don't I had heard that some people in our situtation don't get in. But there are other ways. Like LPN then bridge over to RN. Or going out of state. I keep hearing how alabama is not as diffcult to get into. But who really wants to move. Here is a link to LPN schools in GA. Its just all there deadlines have past for Fall. I am with you mg100. I am older too and have a degree and can't compete with 3.8 GPA because I have too many hours. I did ask for a meeting with the advisor at GPC. to see what my chances are for spring. But at this point I am really annoyed. About retaking TEAS I dont think GPC even looked at that for fall. I think it was all about GPA. I would ask Mrs Creel at GPC. Because it does count against you if you retake. I think KSU only takes the highest score and they want at least in the 80's. And it doesn't count against you.

Has anyone heard anything yet. I say don't trust the admin people telling you when letters are coming out. I applied to GPC and was told last week of April and they came out this week. Got denied at my own school mind you. So Gordon is my last hope for Fall. And I can honestly say I am not holding my breath. It would be easier to become a PA. But on previous posts I have seen This week when people did get letters.

Thanks 3times a Charm. It is just frustrating that GPA is all they are looking at when people with Degrees already seem to not have a shot. They are not even looking at 2nd degree students. It just seems that not everyone with a 3.8-4.0 GPA will be an excellent Nurse or whatever if you have no people or social skills. We may have a whole lot of nurses with no compassion. Because all the schools want is high GPA's. I am thinking of applying to a school in Fla for 2nd degree accelerated they only look at the BS degree and the Prereq's. And TEAS score. It is private but it is only one year. I just hate that they wait to tell you like 4 months later when all the other deadline for other schools have passed. I really wish that all schools would go by a point system. That way it is fair and you are not held to someone elses standards. Because at GPC you are penalized for retaking classes, taking th eteas more than once etc.. so u are in a box. That if your GPA is horrible there is no way to improve without a penalty. My GE GPA she said was a 2.8 which I find very hard to believe I only have 2 C and all the rest were a's and B's. Did apply at 5 schools total. Got denied by all except for one which I am not holding my breath on. But the only school that actually advised me to reapply was KSU for accelerated for Spring. Her name is Fran. They were really nice and seemed like they at least cared enough to try and help you acheive your goals. So I have reapplied for Spring with them. But it just that I didn't budget for not making it for Fall. That is why I am so upset.

MG 100. I had a 3.27 Science GPA 3.4 and 77 on teas. When I emailed Renee Creel she told me that my GE GPA was a 2.8 and that they only took GE GPA's above 3.0. This is crazy. I looked up PA programs and the avg GPA for aaceptance into Emory PA program was a 3.3. And Nursing is 3.9-4.0 GPA getting in. That doesn't make sense.

Got denied now what!!! I don't think this is fair I can't compete with 3.7 gpa's.

Okay everyone went to GPC today and spoke with the Nursing Secretary. She said that all letters acceptance and non acceptance will go out the last week of April for Fall 2011. So I assume they will put them in the mail the week prior and we should see them arriving all that week. So now everyone can just breathe and carry on until the last week and then we can all freak out.

Got denied received rejection letter today. So good luck to everyone else. My letter was mailed out this past tuesday. Got it today.
