  1. It will catch up with her eventually.
  2. I'm from that area. It might take you a little while but you will find something eventually. look towards the detroit area.
  3. Wonderful place to start. You don't get extensive training though so you have to be honest about your skill set.

Getting into a hospital as a volunteer is a great way to secure a job after graduation. Good Luck!
  5. ACLS will give you a competitive edge as well if you plan on getting in at a hospital. Of course you will need CPR too.
  6. The best news about this mistake is that you didn't cause any harm. Don't beat yourself up. I'm sure you'll never make the same mistake again.
  7. We get Saturday 7-7 and Sunday 7-7, not not friday
  8. Um I'm not sure how the whole PM thing works but if you can figure out how to pm me I can try to give you some tips :)
  9. I moved to Houston March 1st and had an interview within days, I only have 9 months experience. Have you tried Long Term Acute Care? Its different than a nursing home. I really enjoy it, the pay is competitive and I'm learning a lot. Might not be the most glamorous job, but its a great place to get your feet wet. Select Specialty, Nexus, Triumph, and Kindred are usually hiring-- not always new grads but depending on how short they are they may consider.
  10. Try Williston, ND, its about 20 minutes from Montana. LOTS of jobs.
  11. I graduated last April with my BSN, and because of the job market, I took a job in a LTC facility. I really enjoy my work, and I was promoted within 3 months to House Supervisor. My true passion, however, is in acute care. Since I am relocating soon, I'm looking for a Med/surg position. I'm having an awful time getting an interview at a hospital. I have a great GPA (3.76), I did a nurse internship overseas in Finland, and now have a little experience... I don't know what I'm doing wrong Is there anything anyone can recommend? How can I make myself stand out?
